Bank of Baroda pays heartfelt homage to ex-employee and celebrated cricketer,
Shri Chetan Chauhan

Bank of Baroda, India’s third largest public sector lender, paid homage to its former employee, Indian opener and Minister for Youth and Sports for Uttar Pradesh Shri Chetan Chauhan who passed away on 16th August, 2020, following health related complications.

Shri Chauhanji is fondly remembered by the Bank as not only an exceptional Cricketer, but also banker par excellence who imparted his services to Bank of Baroda in the capacity of Chief Manager. 

Shri Brajesh Kumar Singh, Zonal Head & General Manager mourned the sudden demise of the legendary cricketer and said, “Bank of Baroda family is deeply saddened by the demise of legendary Barodian Shri Chetan Chauhan, who was an inspiration to many youngsters. He lived a life of service to his profession and people of our country. His name will always be remembered with a sense of pride and honour.”

Shri D.P. Grover, Chairman, Baroda Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank said that, “Shri Chetan Chauhanji was a mentor, a source of inspiration and a tireless worker on and off the cricket field. He was a great humanist in the finest sense of the term. Through his well lived life, he has taught us that goals can be realized and dreams fulfilled by sheer grit and determination. Our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and his well-wishers. May God give them strength to overcome the huge loss.”
