COLORS Tamil opens up participation for the second season of Dance Vs Dance


 Buoyed by its stupendous success in the inaugural season, COLORS Tamil brings back the iconic reality show Dance Vs. Dance, giving budding dancers a golden opportunity to showcase their talent and make a mark for themselves. Season 2 of the popular show widens the canvas by opting for open auditions, so that every aspiring dancer can express themselves as an individual or as a pair.


Dance Vs. Dance, as viewers will recall, is a unique dance face-off format curated to spruce up the primetime entertainment need of viewers. The key element of this disruptive format entails a dance-off by performers in pairs on the same song. The duo is then adjudged basis their style, élan and creativity in choreography. As the competition progresses, each contestant vies for the coveted ‘throne’, earning them a safe passage to the next round of the competition.


The DVD 2 auditions will screen aspiring dancers who have the will to make it big, giving them a chance to prove their mettle in front of global audiences. With no restriction on age, or genre of dance, gender, dancers can serenade the judges, by dancing to their favourite numbers. The selected contestants will get to compete on a larger, grander stage in the presence of stand-out dancers from Tamil cinema.

It’s that time of the year when the stand-out personalities from Tamil television will come together to celebrate the blossoming talent pool of this Industry. The Galatta Nakshatra Awards, one of the most authentic events in Tamil television, will jazz up your telly-time on COLORS Tamil this weekend, with Part 1 being aired on 24th November 2019 and Part 2 on 1st December 2019, both at 8:00 PM.


The gala night will see the best of Kollywood stars, led by Kamal Hassan, presenting the awards. This first-of-its-kind game show, hosted by the high-spirited Imman Ananchi, will encompass a dazzling ATM truck traveling through different cities of Tamil Nadu to bringadhirshta Lakshmi (god of luck) to the viewer's doorstep. Premiering on 30th September 2019, Kalla Petti is a women-centric show that will be aired every Monday to Saturday at 6:00 PM.
Spread across three entertaining segments, the game show will witness a cash box located in celebrated landmarks of different cities with a cash prize worth Rs.25000. Host, Imman Annachi will converse with a diverse set of audiences and pick 12 enterprising participants to contest against each other in the segments. The first segment,Bathula Solu, Panatha Solu will have six different pairs of women battling against each other in a fun-filled quiz by Annachi. Following this, the second segment –Konjam Poti, Neraya Looti will encompass a series of senses of humor activities undertaken by another set of six pairs. It’s time for celebrations on COLORS Tamil as three of their distinctive primetime fiction offerings Sivagami, Perazhagi, and Oviya cross their milestone episodes. With Sivagami and Perazhagi reaching 400th episode and Oviya reaching 200th episode, the trio shows have captured the audience with their interesting plot, twists, nail-biting drama, and endearing romance.

On popular demand, COLORS Tamil today announced an extension in the telecast of its fiction line-up. Starting from 17th August 2019, viewers can now catch their favorite show from Monday to Saturday, offering a perfect start to an entertaining weekend packed with action, drama and more. 



As viewers are set to unwind for a relaxed weekend, COLORS Tamil will keep them glued to their television with intriguing plot line and surprise twist in the tale in addition to bringing down the wait time to just one day. As COLORS Tamil’s stars make way to entertain viewers for six days a week, here is a quick sneak peek at what is in store:



Oviya (Monday to Friday, 6:30 PM): Madhavi comes up with a whole new ploy to put Surya and Oviya in trouble. On the contrary, Madhavi‘s plan strengthens the bond between Surya and Oviya. COLORS Tamil announced the launch of Myna

 Set to showcase the myriad of emotions in an intense battle to freedom, COLORS Tamil announced the launch of Myna – a riveting tale of bonded labour narrated through the eyes of a young, free-spirited girl. Premiering on 10th June 2019, the new show will trail the journey of a seven-year-old girl, who becomes the central force in the fight for good vs evil. Carrying the theme of vicious, social issue – bonded labour, that is still widely prevalent in 21st Century, Myna will unravel the emotions and turmoil of a poverty stricken family who are forced to trade their unborn child as collateral for money, from every Monday to Friday at 8:30 PM on COLORS Tamil.
 
The newly launched show, Myna captures the dynamics of socio-economic divide that pushed several families from across villages into bonded labour. With the families facing harsh realities of power-play and struggles to endure their everyday labour, Myna is born as a promise of freedom. Born into a system of injustice and enslavement, the intriguing story trails Myna’s resilience and courage to take on the antagonist, Singaperumal, a local political honcho and wealthy landlord in her own charming free-spirited manner.
 
Commenting on the show, Mr. Anup Chandrasekharan, Business Head – COLORS Tamil, said, “Bonded labour is a national issue and still widely prevalent in 21st century. The issue needs attention from various stakeholders, and we intend to play the catalyst role in bringing to forefront the grappling struggles faced by these labourers through Myna. Today, we are happy to welcome the youngest and the boldest Myna into our COLORS Tamil family, who is going to shoulder one of the intense story lines with all her charm. We hope that our audiences will join Myna on her journey from innocence, realization, hope, freedom and achievement.”
 
Adding to this, Nithyanandan, Director – Myna, said “Myna is the story of not just one child but many who struggle to break free from the shackles of bonded labour in a modern world. Along with Divyadarshini, who plays the seven-year-old Myna the show will also feature a stellar line-up of artists including Vishwaroopam Fame, Mukthar Khan, who plays the antagonist – Singaperumal in Myna, Tamil TV actor Ranjith as Kanthasamy, Myna’s father and Sreevani as Kasturi, Myna’s mother.
