ZEE5 SET TO PREMIERE SIMMBA - THE BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER OF THE YEAR

Mumbai, March 20^th, 2019: In another summer surprise for its viewers, ZEE5 announces world digital premiere of SIMMBA - the biggest entertainer of the year. The blockbuster with a power packed star-cast comprising Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan, Sonu Sood and Ashutosh Rana in lead roles, icing it off with a special appearance by Ajay Devgn, is set to premiere on 21^st March on ZEE5.

After a having phenomenal run at the box office, Rohit Shetty’s high decibel cop drama is all set for a world digital premiere on ZEE5. The story revolves around Sangram Bhalerao played by Ranveer Singh, a notorious cop who wants to make money. Until an event happens in his life, which alters him and makes him choose the moral path.

With Simmba, Rohit Shetty now holds the unmatched record of having eight consecutive films to enter the Rs. 100 crore net domestic box office club, and he is only the 2^nd director in India with three films to enter the super elite Rs. 200 crore club.

 Navin Shetty known for his notable work in Singham, Singham Returns, Golmaal 3  Golmaal Again amongst 

other films has been part of Rohit Shetty's team for over a decade. And now the celebrated designer has styled the dynamic Ranveer Singh for Simmba .

Ranveer's look in the film is quite distinctive from other cop films in the past. The larger-than-life character required a lot of styling and experiments. From quirky colors to sunglasses and stylish watches, Sangram Bhalerao is the new age cop who will be seen doing fisticuffs but in style.

On working with Navin Shetty, Ranveer states, "The one thing that stands out to me is his work ethic. He stays low profile and doesn’t find the need to impose his presence on people.
