Indian pop sensation Dhvani Bhanushali’s single Vaaste

Since the last couple of years, there has been one musical artist who has made sure that she makes a place in everyone’s hearts with her soulful voice and that is none other than Dhvani Bhanushali. 

The songstress started her career with songs from movies like Welcome To New York and Veere Di Wedding in the year 2018. From this to other hit film songs like Dilbar from Satyameva Jayate, Duniya from Luka Chuppi, Bekhayali from Kabir Singh, Psycho Saiyaan from Saaho and Nachi Nachi from Street Dancer 3D, she has established herself as one of the most sought after playback singers in the industry.

Not only this, apart from hit movie numbers, Dhvani has also garnered a humongous fan following through the success of her single songs like Leja Re, Vaaste, Na Ja Tu and the latest one Jeetenge Hum.

The tracks have been a constant on every playlist and crossed millions and millions of views on YouTube.

Now, a report generated from the Indian Recorded Music Industry Revenues (IFPI GMR - 2020), an organisation that represents the global recording industry, states that Dhvani’s single Vaaste is the number one song of 2019. The track which released last year to a rave reception and over 786 million views, is at the top of the list. It is no surprise that the artist has become a household name thanks to her immense talent and ability to reach to the audience through her relatable music.

Sharing her thoughts on the same, the pop sensation says, “I don’t think it has sunk in yet. Ever since Vaaste released in April 2019, I continue to be overwhelmed by the immense love people have given it. The messages that I am still getting of how people are enjoying the song, the lyrics, the video, are mind blowing. I wanted to reach out to people but I never thought that we would come this far.”

Adding further, she says, “To be named as the top song of last year, especially since we had such amazing music come out from so many different platforms and genres, is an honour and achievement that I cherish. I promise my fans that I will work even harder now to make sure I keep making them happy with my music.”

Dhvani recently released the song Jeetenge Hum which she shot at home with her father Vinod Bhanushali. The song is dedicated to #CoronaWarriors who are bravely helping all of us to fight against the global pandemic.

The filmmaker has created a touching, motivational video which talks about the strength of our country stemming from our unity. The highlight of the video is the beautiful poem, Mera Bharat Mahaan written by Zaveri. And the words create a huge impact as they are voiced by the director’s Satyameva Jayate hero, John Abraham.

Superstar John Abraham shares about the video and says, “When Milap came to me with this idea, I knew I had to do it. I wanted to be a part of this gesture that tells people how strong we have become by uniting in this dire situation and thank those who are risking their lives every day to help others. Humanity as a race is facing this threat on a global level and it is our job to help, motivate and inspire each other in any way we can. Through this video, we just wanted to tell everyone out there that we shall overcome this.”

Talking about the video and his inspiration behind it, Milap Milan Zaveri says, “My inspiration comes from the power that we as a country have shown to fight this situation. We have stood together in this battle and are continuing to do so every day by following the protocol and staying safe in our homes. At the same time, the major reason we will win this battle is due to the medical professionals and policemen who are out there trying to save everyone they can. The video is dedicated to all these bravehearts and to the entire country. I wanted to do my bit, to show the people how they are the heroes. Thanks to the cooperation of my team and of course, John, we have tried to show our gratitude by capturing what we all feel.”

The video is conceptualised and written by Milap Milan Zaveri and edited by Maahir Zaveri and Sagar Manik. The soulful tune is given by Lijo George with Azeem Dayani as the music supervisor and sound design and mix provided by Kunal Mehta and Parikshit Lalvani.

Confirmed: Satyameva Jayate Gears Up For A Bigger Sequel With John Abraham & Divya Khosla In The Lead

Ever since the high-octane vigilante action drama film — Satyameva Jayate hit the screens last year and turned out to be a big success, one has been anticipating a sequel to the film. And voila, the makers have now announced the second installment to the Satyameva Jayate franchise. John Abraham, who played a vigilante who goes on a corrupt cop-killing spree in the original is pairing up with Divya Khosla Kumar to bring Satyamev Jayate 2 for their fans. The movie, to be directed by Milap Zaveri and produced by T-Series and Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures, will go on floors soon. 

Milap, who is charged up about the project, says he is looking forward to working with John again and Divya for the first time. While Milap and John had collaborated earlier, it was with Satyameva Jayate that they tasted mega success as the movie crossed Rs 20 crore on the first day itself making it Milap and John’s highest opening ever. The vigilante action film was also high on emotion and drama, making it an overall entertainer for the masses. The makers now want to take the story ahead. 

Says Milap, “Satyameva Jayate 2 is twice the action, emotion, Power, patriotism and punch. Led by John Abraham back as a crusader for justice and with Divya Khosla Kumar joining the franchise I hope next Gandhi Jayanti we provide the audiences with a powerful entertainer that also gives a strong message against corruption.” 

John, too, is excited about being part of this venture. “I genuinely enjoyed the story and telling of the original film. I could tell it was a story that the audience will find engaging. With SMJ2, the aim, once again, is to entertain the audience with a story that’s relevant in today’s times,” he says. 

The fresh pairing of John and Divya, who returns to acting after directing two movies of her own, is another highlight of the project. “I didn’t want to act in a film just for the sake of it,” says the latter. “For me, what mattered was the story and the role, and I got the right opportunity with this film,” she adds. 

Nikkhil Advani of Emmay Entertainment believes the sequel will be an even bigger entertainer. He says, “John and Milap make for a formidable team and we are happy to push the envelope with a project that’s not only for the audiences to enjoy but is socially relevant as well.” 

Satyameva Jayate 2 produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, Nikkhil Advani (Emmay Entertainment) is slated to release ‪on October 2, 2020.

Milap Zaveri talks about the inspiration behind Marjaavaan

 After the 2018-action thriller, Satyameva Jayate, with John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee, the trio of Milap Zaveri, Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar are all set for Marjaavaan, featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, Rakul Preet Singh, and Tara Sutaria.

Recently, director Milap Zaveri revealed that his next is going to be a commercial entertainer, and different from his previous venture. He says, “Well, it is a massy action film angry, powerful and emotional along the lines of those made by Mukul Anand, Subhash Ghai, and Rajkumar Santoshi. While Satyameva Jayate was a bromance between John and Manoj, Marjaavaan is a love story with lots of action, dialogue baazi and some beautiful tender moments. It also has a midget villain in Riteish’s character, who has a dark sense of humour.”

Speaking about Riteish’s character being vertically challenged, the director added, “Years ago, Subhash Ghai started a film called Devaa with Amit ji (Amitabh Bachchan) as the hero, and Mr. Lilliput as the villain. The project didn’t materialize but that detail stayed with me. The greatest antithesis is making a larger-than-life guy short in stature.’’

John Abraham’s 'Batla House' Goes On Floors!

 After their last success ‘Satyameva Jayate’, John Abraham, Nikkhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar have reunited for a thriller dram titled ‘Batla House’. The makers have commenced shooting for the film as they announced the same on social media sharing an image from the sets.

Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film is inspired by the real encounter that took place a decade ago on 19 September in Delhi. The film will star John Abraham in the role of Sanjeev Kumar Yadav as the one who spearheaded the Batla House encounter. Nikkhil plans on shooting the film in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Nepal. The film will be jointly produced by T-Series, Emmay Entertainment & Motion Pictures LLP and JA Entertainment in association with Bake My Cake Films.

A poster of the film was released a poster last month announcing that the film will release on 15th August, 2019.

 Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series label is soon to take over PewDiePie, the most popular YouTuber globally, as the number one channel on YouTube. T-Series, India’s largest music and film production company is climbing the ladder to become the most subscribed channel on YouTube.

T-Series is garnering a subscriber base of 143,000 followers each day while PewDiePie's channel is growing at a rate of 30,000+ subscribers per day.

T-Series, which joined YouTube in 2006 has around 59 million subscribers now, becoming the most followed channel in India. For nearly five years now, Swedish personality, PewDiePie has enjoyed having more than 65 million subscribers. T-Series has released 12,640 videos on YouTube up till now, while PewDiePie, who joined the platform in 2010, has only 3596 videos on his channel.

T-Series chairman and managing director Bhushan Kumar has a choc-a-bloc film schedule planned for the year. After giving hits like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Raid,  Satyameva Jayate to the world already, T-Series has set the bar high for themselves.
