Dr. Anita Ramesh conducts Covid awareness programme, offers relief for journalists
Social activist Dr. Anita Ramesh a Professor and Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology conducted covid awareness programme for the journalists and distributed relief materials to them at the function held in Chennai. The relief materials contains essential rice grocery items .
Journalists reporters plays in major role in disseminating interesting news, clippings, events, interviews of personalities.During Two months lockdown their livelihoods are affected. Dr. Anita has come forward to help them.
Oncologist Dr. Anita Ramesh, Sinora P.S.Ashok, District Secretary, (East)Rajini Makkal Mandram distributed relief materials to the journalists.
Dr. Anita Professor and Senior Consultant in Medical Oncology, In her awareness speech, said, “Journalists are frontline workers who are vulnerable to the infection to the Corona virus.
She advised the journalists, that they should maintain social distancing, wearing face mask and Wash their hands frequently. She also asked them to practice respiratory hygiene.
She said, journalists should avoid touching eyes, nose & mouth. Stay informed and heed to precautionary measures.
She added that though lockdown is a harsh measure, the government has no other option. “With effective steps being taken by the government, the contributions of non-governmental organisations, and the public support, India will emerge victorious over corona,”
