Society of Television Producers of Southern India (STEPS) has thanked Chief Minister Edapadi K Palaniswami & Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju for granting permission to begin shoot for television serials.

Says STEPS president Sujatha Vijayakumar, ' As there was no shoot for past two months, our workers suffered a lot. We are grateful to our honourable Chief Minister for granting us the permission to resume shoot. We producers today had a meeting through Zoom to discuss safety measures to be adopted during shooting.'

'Earlier, myself and  STEPS general secretary Khushbu Sundar had met Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju with a representation to start shoot again. He assured that he will take it to the attention of the Chief Minister. Appropriately he gave the good news that permission has been given to us to start shooting. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Information and Publicity Minister on this occasion'.

On her part, general secretary of STEPS Khushbu Sundar, says' We thank Chief Minister Edapadi K Palaniswami and Information and Publicity Minister Kadambur Raju whole-heartedly.'
'All our technicians suffered a lot as there were no shootings for the past 70 days. Seeing the situation, we approached Kadambur Raju to grant us permission to resume shoot. Now we have been given the nod to resume work with few restrictions. The news has come as a boon to us.'
'We have discussed with producers of television serials in various channels on all matters through Zoom call today. We will take a decision on when to resume shoot soon. We assure that we will follow the rules and safety guidelines laid by the government to the 'T'. Very soon, we will begin work. A good news will reach you all soon'.
