Middle Class – A Film That Celebrates the Heartbeat of India
In a world where billionaires fly private and influencers flaunt their “soft life,” a new film shifts the spotlight back to the unsung heroes of everyday India — the middle class.
With humor, heart, and a healthy dose of reality, Middle Class dives into lives built around EMIs, discount festivals, and 1BHK dreams with a view of the neighbour’s laundry. This isn’t just a story — it’s a mirror for millions who stretch every rupee, find joy in small things, and carry emotional EMIs heavier than their home loans.
Starring Munishkanth and Vijayalakshmi, who authentically portray a typical middle-class couple, the film also features Kali Venkat, one of the most versatile and valuable actors of recent times. Joining them are Radha Ravi, Kuraishi, Malavika Avinash, Kodangi Vadivelu, and Vela Ramamoorthy — a stellar ensemble rooted in realism and emotional depth.
Written and directed by Kishore Muthuramalingam and produced by DEV and KV Durai, Middle Class brings together a strong technical team. Cinematography is by Sudarshan Srinivasan, music is composed by Pranav Muniraj, and editing is handled by San Lokesh. The film’s visual world is shaped by art director MSP Madhavan, stunt choreography by Don Ashok, costumes by J. Nandha, and makeup by Vinoth Sukumaran. Sound mixing is by M.R. Rajakrishnan, with VFX by Resol FX and DI work by Varna Digital Studio.
Marketing and promotion are overseen by KV Mothi and DEC, with publicity designs by Viyaki and legal advisory by MV Bhaskar.
The film was initially identified as a promising script by the late producer Dilli Babu, known for spotting emerging talent. Today, the team behind Middle Class is committed to fulfilling his vision and bringing this heartfelt story to life.
