“கடாவர்” படம் அறிவிக்கப்பட்ட கணத்திலிருந்தே, ரசிகர்களின் பேரார்வர்த்தை தூண்டி வருகிறது. இப்படம் இந்தியாவில் முதல் முறையாக, ஒரு தடயவியல் அறுவை சிகிச்சை நிபுணர் (ஃபோரன்ஸிக் சர்ஜன்) விசாரணை அதிகாரியாக அழைத்து வரப்படும் கதையினை மையமாக கொண்டு உருவாகியுள்ளது. வித்தியாசமான இவ்வேடத்திற்காக, நடிகை அமலா பால் ஒரு வார காலம் மருத்துவமனை சென்று, அந்த துறை சார்ந்த, தேர்ந்த மருத்துவர்களிடம் பயிற்சி பெற்றார். தன்னை முழுதுமாக தயார் செய்துகொண்டு, இப்பாத்திரத்தில் ஒரு அசலான ஃபோரன்ஸிக் சர்ஜனாக கலக்கியுள்ளார்.

It is really intriguing with lots of detailing yet has a mystery surrounding your character. Kudos on that. Is the mystery the hook for you as well to be a part of it and produce as well?

Thanks for the compliments. But when it comes to my character, there’s nothing more mysterious inclined to it. Instead, the character is all set to unravel an unsolvable mystery revolving around serial murders in the city. To be honest, while going through the script, I actually forgot that I have been approached for the protagonist’s role as the gripping story made me vigorously flip through the pages, as though reading a novel.

 This propelled the urge in me to become a producer, as I didn’t want this script to be yet another unprocessed work of talented filmmakers, and writers in the industry. I strongly believed that the project has a heavy potential to get ticked by audiences of urban, suburban, and rural domains. I am keeping my fingers crossed looking forward to the audiences’ response.

 What were the references you took to bring authenticity to the role? Did you meet forensic experts and studied books related to it to go about the role? As it is a first of its kind for the Indian audience?

CADAVER is the brainchild of Anoop S Panicker and writer Abhilash Pillai.  When both of them presented me the script, I felt something unique and excited about the character. As a part of developing this characterization and adding more intensity, we were involved in lots of research and detailing. I had the opportunity to meet some of the finest forensic surgeons, who shared their experiences in the profession. In addition,  I also had a chance to visit the mortuaries for the sake of gaining additional knowledge about the job. It was a life-changing experience indeed. It is not an easy a thing job to perform this character as it’s an intense profession. Lots of challenges and hurdles are involved to accomplish this job. Henceforth, this character demanded a whole lot of effort from my end.  Usually, forensic surgeons are portrayed in minimal importance, but this is the first-ever time, audiences will be seeing this character as the protagonist.

How much excitement is it to be tagged a producer and what role Amala Paul Productions would play in identifying talents?

Embarking on a journey as a producer wasn’t an overnight plan, but something that kept bothering me across the years. I have come across many talented directors and writers, who have crafted exceptionally spellbinding scripts, which left me awestruck. However, it was disappointing to see that many producers weren’t prepared to fund those projects, as they weren’t really confident with the economics. This instilled in me a sort of ambition to nurture those talents. And I don’t want to take credit as this journey is going to be purely symbiotic, where everyone gets benefitted.  I would say, ‘Identifying Talents’ is the topmost protocol of any producer. Significantly, the entire team of Amala Paul Productions will keep working towards the motto of identifying talented actors, directors, and technicians.

As the clock is ticking towards 12 am October 26, how are you planning to celebrate this birthday apart from presenting the first look?

Just thank God as I do it every night for the gifts he has endowed me. When I say the word ‘Gift’, those aren’t just the tangible materials, but the lessons God has imparted, especially letting me realize “Nothing is Permanent in life. Just be selfless, and keep doing what you love with heart and soul.” Of course, I am blessed with a beautiful family, friends, well-wishers, and fans, who have been kind and patient with me even during the times, when I failed. Such unconditional love and support are the greatest gifts that I am blessed with. So, Instead of Birthday Plans, I would state it as ‘Birthday Vow’, which is to exhibit my best potentials as a producer, actor, and person..

 Actor Vishnu Vishal has lots to share about his much awaited ‘Raatchasan’ scheduled for worldwide release on October 5. Significantly, it’s an imposed ‘Tightlipped’ moment as the actor plays it safe for unveiling even a bit beyond certain words will turn out to be a spoiler for audience. 

“I play someone, who is not at all interested in becoming a cop, but eventually lands up with the job. I must say that the experience was completely different and new for I hadn’t got an opportunity to wear a cop uniform before in any movies,” says Vishnu Vishal as he is seen brimmed up with immense exhilarations. 

Well, this shouldn’t be predominantly a mere reason that attracted him towards Raatchasan. 

So what actually incited his interest towards the film? “It’s definitely, a surprisal approach by filmmaker Ramkumar, from whom, none would have expected a paradigm shift. 

While his directorial debut ‘Mundasupatti’ was overwhelmingly hilarious film, I was transfixed to hear Ramkumar narrate a script of mystery and suspense with unlimited Goosebumps. It’s completely an output of his 2-yr hard work, which I believe everyone will surely appreciate,” acclaims Vishnu as he extends his praises upon Ramkumar. 

The trailer and other visual promos have instigated an urge of inquisitiveness to know if Raatchasan is a horror flick.

 

Especially, to find a horripilating doll that springs up an instant reflex, Vishnu just clarifies it saying, “It’s a pure psychological thriller with mystery and suspense. Yes, the ‘Doll’ that we saw in visual promos has become a strongest attraction. All that I can assure for now is that this element has something to do with the story.”

Sharing about his co-star Amala Paul, Vishnu says, “The female lead character is sketched with so much of powerful substantiality, which demanded for a matured actor. We found completely justified that Amala Paul would be able to carry off the role with perfection. 

The way Amala Paul has been attempting with different genres and roles in the recent times made us affirmed that she will nail it hands down. Apparently, to see her performance on final output, her performance has turned to be incredibly brilliant,” says Vishnu Vishal.  

Furthermore, he adds that there are only 5 major characters in the film, which will travel throughout the course. “Well, if everyone were hit by the witticism of Munishkanth and Kaali Venkat in Mundasupatti, you will find them in uttermost seriousness in Raatchasan,” winds up Vishnu. 

Raatchasan is produced by G. Dilli Babu for Axess Film Factory in association with R. Sridhar of Skylark Entertainment, this much expected film is released by Ravindran.R of Trident Arts. Ghibran’s musical album comprising of four songs have become an instant hit and visuals by Cinematographer P.V. Shankar are already regarded highly in appreciations.

With plethora of promising movies consistently making its way from the stores of Vishnu Vishal, here is one among them titled RAATCHASAN that has already made the film buffs, especially the fervent lovers of Crime-Mystery -Thriller have been inquisitively looking up for the film’s arrival on big screens on October 5. Much prior to this, Ghibran’s splendid songs were launched this evening (September 25) at Prasad Lab in Chennai that was graced by entire cast and crew. The event commenced with the screening of RAATCHASAN visual promos and lyric videos.

Producer G Dilli Babu offered his welcome speech saying, “Axess Film Factory has been attempting to make content based movies and RAATCHASAN happens to be the fourth production venture. I am so happy that the film has come out well with the efficient work of Vishnu Vishal, Amala Paul and others in the team including magnificent spell by music Director Ghibran. I am sure everyone will love this film.” 

He continued to add later saying, “Axess Film Factory always owns a unique pattern of finalizing the content first and then go for the artists. So was the film RAATCHASAN that impressed me on the first note. When Ram Kumar narrated me the story, I was completely astonished how a filmmaker who established himself with a comedy Caper like Mundasupatti. But he just told me that he came to industry with this script, but many advised him to get-go with humour script. This isn’t going to be a routine crime-thriller but will be an emotional one. Trident Arts Ravindran sir came forward voluntarily saying that he would like to get associated with the film. But I obliged him to watch the film first and he went by my words. After watching the film, he promised that he would be associated with every film that Axess Film Factory produces, which is a boon to us.”

Actor Vishnu Vishal said, “The journey between Mundasupatti and Raatchasan goes a long way as we had many twists and turns that brought me and Ram Kumar together again. I am really proud that producer G Dilli Babu owns so much of passion for films. We started the film at a budget and it exceeded above the line. Nevertheless, he remained calm and composed as he was completely inclined with more confidence upon the film. Well, Amala Paul would have told you all about her first meeting with Ram Kumar. She was so much involved about the film and gave her best into her character. Finally, I am so happy that everyone who has already saw the film have been appreciating me that it’s the best till the date in my career. I am happy that the film is hitting screens on October 5. If this film is not going to be a hit by any chance, I promise here that I will do one more

Actress Amala Paul started off her speech on a jocular note saying, “When Ram Kumar narrated me the story for the first time, I was really unclear about the plot, for he didn’t even look at my face. Later, when I rang up Vishnu Vishal, he said that Ram is a shy person and cleared the doubts involving script with him. Apparently, as the film went on floors, I just realized one thing that filmmakers with less words prove to be more genius. In fact, after watching the trailer, I just sent him a message saying Ram you are a genius. 

Vishnu Vishal has become a best buddy to me and I like him for his outspoken gesture. He has broken the ice of myth of becoming a great actor with clarity and self confidence. Everyone in the technical team has done an incredibly best job. 

When it comes to mystery thrillers, we always remain in awe of International movies, but am sure after watching RAATCHASAN, everyone will be so proud out here for having seen such a movie.”

Director Ramkumar said, “Its been four years that I met all the media and press. I want to make use of this opportunity to thank each and everyone for making this film come out as I envisaged. The reason why I am so confident about the film is the 100% effort from every actor and technician. First and foremost, I have to thank Producer G Dilli Babu for believing that Director of Mundasupatti will prove the best with a crime thriller. I was resented by nearly 20 producers and 10 heroes, who liked the film but couldn’t judge it. His confidence with whole heartedness helped me give more efforts into the film. If the film is turning to be a success, Ghibran holds major contribution towards it.”

Music Director Ghibran said, “There are few films that gives rapid increase in heartbeat by the time of release. Although I have worked in many challenging projects, RAATCHASAN has evoked such a feel in me. I am so happy that Ram Kumar has delivered what he had narrated me. Even I had a strange doubt whether he would be delivering what he narrated.  But the output looks so much promising and am sure, everyone will love it.”

Filmmaker Rathnakumar wowed up the audiences and film critics with a commendable directorial debut ‘Meyaadha Maan’. While the auteur had his glorious realms established with his debut film, he sets out for a much colossal one in his second outing. The ‘Meyaadha Maan’ director will be teaming up with Amala Paul for a film titled AADAI. Touted to be a premise set against the sensational theme, Amala Paul had instantly dropped few projects with a pure intention that such an opportunity shouldn’t be missed.  

Usually, the film said to be ‘Female-centric’ ones are either supernatural horror thrillers or women empowerment ones.  But this one would break the stereotypical paradigms and be a substantial exception for its sensational theme.
