In the day and age of high tempo songs, comes a pure, simple song from the house of T-Series that pays tribute to mothers, as the world celebrates Mother’s Day tomorrow.
To mark this special occasion, Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series presents ‘Meri Maa’ sung by Jubin Nautiyal, written by Danish Sabri, with music by Javed-Mohsin.
While the world currently battles the COVID-19 pandemic, T-Series, always strives to bring audiences the best in music, despite these challenging times.
Undoubtedly, the truest and purest form of love is what a mother feels for her child. With the soulful ‘Meri Maa’, which features footage and stills from the film Taare Zameen Par, Yaariyan and the single Kabhi Yaadon Mein, the makers have tried to capture the essence of that bond and present a touching tribute to mothers on their special day.
Says T-Series head honcho, Bhushan Kumar, “Meri Maa is a song that holds your attention by its sheer simplicity. We can never thank our mothers enough for all that they do; however, this is our small way of showing our gratitude and saying thank you to them. The germ of the idea for this song was born a few months ago and while we knew the challenge at hand, we decided to work around the current scenario to bring it to audiences. ‘Meri Maa’ is a special song and deserves to reach as many people as possible.”
Fresh off the success of his recent hit, Kabir Singh’s ‘Tujhe Kitna Chahein Hum’, and ‘Tum Hi Aana’ from Marjaavaan, Jubin Nautiyal calls the making of ‘Meri Maa’ an unforgettable and delightful experience.
Says Jubin Nautiyal, “While our Corona warriors keep us safe, our mothers are holding the family together at home and giving us courage and hope. To me they are nothing short of frontline warriors as they keep us going through these difficult times. A song that pays tribute to mothers was always on my bucket list. Javed-Mohsin have done a great job on the composition and Danish has written it with such soul that the beauty of ‘Meri Maa’ lies in its pure simplicity.”
Interestingly, the popular singer’s mother was among the first to hear the song and her reaction to it was validation enough for the singer. Adds Jubin, “For me, the most unforgettable moment would be watching the smile on my mother's face when she heard the song. That moment was priceless.”
