V-Guard’s Q4 FY 2020-21 PAT grew by

V-Guard’s Q4 FY 2020-21 PAT grew by 112% Y-o-Y 

India, May 26, 2021:

India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics company, V-Guard Industries Ltd., announced its audited financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2021.

Q4 FY 21 highlights:

·         Consolidated Net Revenue from operations for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 was Rs. 855.20 crores; a growth of 58% compared to the corresponding period of previous year (Rs.541.14 crores)

 

·         Consolidated Profit After Tax for the quarter ended March 31, 2021 was Rs.68.39 crores; an increase of 112.2% over corresponding period of previous year (Rs.32.23 crores).

 

·         All three segments - Electronics, Electrical and Consumer Durables - recorded strong growth during the quarter.

 

·         Consolidated Net Revenue from operations for the year ended March 31, 2021 was Rs. 2,721.24 crores; a growth of 8.7% compared to the previous year (Rs.2,502.94 crores).

 

·         Consolidated Profit Before Tax for the year ended March 31, 2021 was Rs.288.1 crores; an increase of 15.4% over the previous year (Rs.249.6 crores).

 

·         Consolidated Profit After Tax for the year ended March 31, 2021 was Rs.201.89 crores; an increase of 7.2% over the previous year (Rs.188.25 crores). Effective Tax Rate has gone up due to severe supply disruption in Sikkim plants, as they were affected by Covid-related lockdowns up to September 2020.

 

·         The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of Rs.1.20 per equity share (120%) for the financial year 2020-21.

 

Business Outlook:

 

Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Mithun. K. Chittilappilly, Managing Director, V-Guard Industries Ltd said “The business performance has been very strong in Q4, continuing on the growth momentum witnessed in Q3.  We have been able to achieve a broad based growth across all our segments including our emerging categories.  Input cost inflation remains a challenge, and while we have been able to mitigate it to large extent, some near term pressures are likely to continue.

As we enter the new financial year, the country has been hit by a more severe second wave of COVID-19. As most parts of the country are under lockdown, there will be a significant impact on consumer demand during Q1 FY 22.  We are confident that our business will come back strongly once the lockdowns are lifted.”

V-Guard’s Net Profit for FY 2019-20 grows by 12%

India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics company, V-Guard Industries Ltd., announced its audited results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2020.
Q4 FY 20 highlights:
·           Consolidated Net Revenue from operations for the Quarter ended March 31, 2020 was Rs. 541.14 crores; a decline of 27.45% over corresponding period of previous year (Rs.745.78 crores)

·           Consolidated Profit After Tax for the quarter ended March 31, 2020 was Rs. 32.23 crores; a decline of 47.45% over corresponding period of previous year (Rs.61.39 crores).

·           The nation-wide lockdown to combat the CoVid-19 pandemic had a collateral impact in terms of revenue loss and the attendant profit impact.

·       In view of interim dividend paid during the year under review, the Board has not   recommended any final dividend.
FY 20 highlights:
·           Consolidated Net Revenue from operations for the year ended March 31, 2020 was Rs.2,502.94 crores; a decline of 3.5% over previous year (Rs.2,594 crores)

·           Consolidated Profit After Tax for the year ended March 31, 2020 was Rs.188.25 crores; Increase of 12 % over the previous year (Rs.168 crores)

Business Outlook:

Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Mithun. K. Chittilappilly, Managing Director, V-Guard Industries Ltd said “FY 20 has been a very challenging year.  The macroeconomic slowdown during the first nine months presented a significant challenge, and this was compounded by the CoVid-19 pandemic in Q4.  We expect the effect of the pandemic to last for a few months, during which consumer demand for discretionary items will remain subdued.  However, the fundamentals of the business remain strong; we have significantly improved our gross margins and we continue to invest in innovation and business capabilities to achieve our long-term ambitions.  We see the current challenges to be a temporary phenomenon and our balance sheet is strong enough to withstand these headwinds.  We are confident that the business will bounce back strongly in the months to come”

V-Guard’s Profit After Tax (consolidated) for Q3 2019-20 increases by 30%
Chennai, January 31, 2020:
V-Guard Industries Limited, India’s leading consumer electrical and electronics company, announced the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended December 31, 2019.
Q3 FY 20 highlights:                                                                                   
·           Consolidated Net Revenue from operations for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 was Rs. 631.89 crores; an increase of 5% over previous year (Rs.601.31 crores).

·           Consolidated Profit Before Tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 was Rs.58.46 crores; Increase of 32.6% over the previous year (Rs.44.10 crores).

·           Consolidated Profit After Tax for the quarter ended December 31, 2019 was Rs.44.24 crores; Increase of 29.7% over the previous year (Rs.34.10 crores).

·           Subdued demand conditions impacted top-line growth the quarter.  The Consumer Durables segment grew well, but other segments were impacted more by the overall slowdown.

·           Non-South markets contributed 38% of turnover for the quarter, up from 37% in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

·           Gross margins improved across all segments. Low volatility in commodity prices,  combined with cost effectiveness measures pricing actions early in the year helped improve margins.

Business Outlook:

Commenting on the company’s performance, Mr. Mithun. K. Chittilappilly, Managing Director, V-Guard Industries Ltd said “Slowness in consumer demand continued during Q3 FY 20, which impacted our overall top-line growth.  Under these circumstances, we are making good progress in the non-South markets and new categories.  Margin and working capital management remained robust.  We are hopeful that we will be able to get back to higher growths in the coming quarters, once the macroeconomic conditions improve”
