Director Mysskin

A filmmaker’s journey is as weird as their success rate is truly based on how well proficient alchemist or drivers they are. Naturally, these are the most adorable roles admired, where one converts a simple idea into a valuable asset and another one commutes the crowd into his universe. Director Mysskin has substantially proved of such paradigms, where he created a fan base for himself through his maverick filmmaking style. Furthermore, he has become the pioneer of the decade to prove that there’s nothing such dualities called ‘Offbeat’ and ‘Commercial’ cinemas. End of the day, it’s about bringing good stories with valuable content that encapsulates emotional quotients together. Accordingly, Mysskin has now proved to be a ‘Jack of all Genres’ by completing his hat-trick through Pisasu (Horror), Thupparivalan (Detective-Thriller) and recent sensational hit Psycho (Psychological-Thriller).

“More than claiming this as a success, I want to label it as ‘Unconditional Love’ that I have gained from the crowds. I always believe that whatever genre or backdrop a film might belong to, the audiences will appreciate it if they are emotionally connected. I made these films with ‘blind hopes’ and eventually landed up in their good books.” smilingly says Mysskin, who feels that ‘Blind Hopes’ and ‘Soulful Search’ are the inherent elements in our lives. He adds, “In fact, my protagonists Siddarth (Pisasu), Kaniyan Pongundran (Thupparivalan) and Gautham (Psycho), embraced these mantras, which I humbly consider as a takeaway for audiences. I thank the entire cast and crew of these films, producers, technicians, well wishers, critics and audiences for filling my marks sheet with ‘Distinction’. Filled with more positivity and the same hopes, I want to continue my journey entertaining the film buffs to the best of my abilities. I will be soon making official announcements on my new projects.”

"Psycho” Trailer to be screened

"Psycho” Trailer to be screened with Durbar

The exquisiteness of emotions is always high when a soul imbibes itself to a beautiful melody and such an experience is always phenomenal. The entire world of social media, YouTube and music portals are now dosed with an intensely emotional song ‘Neenga Mudiyuma’ from Mysskin’s “Psycho” composed by none other than Maestro Isaignani Ilayaraja. With the first single track ‘Unna Nenachu’ having its realms in everyone’s playlist, this newly unveiled song crooned by Sid Sriram has become an instant sensation for music lovers.

Producer Arun Mozhi Manickam, Double Meaning Productions says, “I am in a state of frozen astonishment of this musical gem gifted by Isaignani Ilayaraja sir. This track is more than enough to prove the world of music that the season of ‘Isaignani’ will never end and he is beyond ages and years. Personally, I am really spellbound over the symphonic orchestral pieces; especially the ‘violin’ piece has got me addicted. Sid Sriram’s soulful vocalism is more enchanting and I am sure, the visuals are going to make it more emotionally elegant.”

On speaking about the lyrics penned by Kabilan, Arun Mozhi Manickam gets more excited as he mentions his favourite lines as well. He says, “Nee Deivam Thedum Silayo (Are you the statue that God is searching?) - Just this single line stands out to be ample evidence of Kabilan sir’s wizardry in writing.”

The producer signs off saying, “We at Double Meaning Productions are really excited to release the ‘Psycho’ trailer  today (8th Jan) through online by Udhayanidhi Stalin. The same will be attached with Darbar which is releasing tomorrow and can’t wait to see the audiences stay engrossed with the full length feature film hitting screens worldwide on January 24, 2020.”

“Psycho” as the title suggests is a psychological thriller featuring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari and Nithya Menen in lead roles with Ram and Singampuli essaying important roles. Scheduled for worldwide release on January 24, 2020, the film is written and directed by Mysskin.

Udhayanidhi Stalin’s “Psycho” to have worldwide release on January 24, 2020

The entire team of director Mysskin’s edge-seated psychological thriller “Psycho” starring Udhayanidhi Stalin, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari is now high-spirited for a reason. Having retained its title with the complete acceptance of CBFC members, producer Arun Mozhi Manickam has now decided to go for a Pan-Indian release of this film on January 24, 2020.

Producer Arun Mozhi Manickam, Double Meaning Production says, “I might be just a producer of few films with a short journey, but I feel “Psycho” is a gift to me as it never laid any hurdles on our way from the beginning till now. Be Mysskin sir’s amazingly skilled writing and directorial proficiency or the talented actors like Udhayanidhi Stalin sir, Nithya Menen and Aditi Rao Hydari have exhibited their newfangled avatars. Each and every process of this production has imparted in me a big baggage of positivity.

I thank the CBFC members for extending their earnest support in understanding and appreciating our hard work, thereby giving a nod over retaining the title. We are looking forward to a bigger Pan-Indian reach of “Psycho” as it holds a premise and presentation that will definitely impress audiences beyond linguistic barriers. Henceforth, we are releasing the film on January 24, 2020 and it will be the first ever biggest release for Double Meaning Productions with bigger screen counts.”

Speaking about his experience of watching “Psycho” as an audience, “It might look like I am blowing up the picture as a producer, but I can ensure that audiences will feel themselves being driven to the peak of their adrenaline rush with edge-seated thrills. At the same time, Mysskin sir never misses to inject the emotional essence into his movies, which you can find here in Psycho as well. It will be a different and unique experience for everyone in the cinema halls, especially with the magnetizing re-recording of Maestro Isaignani Ilayaraja sir.”

UDHAYANIDHI STALIN TEAMS UP WITH MYSSKIN

UDHAYANIDHI STALIN TEAMS UP WITH
MYSSKIN FOR ‘PSYCHO’ PRESS RELEASE

UDHAYANIDHI STALIN TEAMS UP WITH MYSSKIN FOR ‘PSYCHO’

Sudden rushes of excitements are finding its way across nook and corners of the K-Town. Absolutely, the reason behind such exclamatory moments is announcement involving Mysskin’s new film titled ‘Psycho’. Of course, it has become much more intensified with the big names like Maestro Ilayaraja, P.C. Sriram, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nithya Menen, Ram and few more involved.

“It’s always a delight to have a filmmaker like Mysskin sir, who is known for breaking the stereotypical barriers and offer unconventional showpieces. Moreover, his ability to present even the exceptional ones with an engrossing package makes him a producer-friendly filmmaker,” says producer Arun Mozhi Manickam, who continues to send forth his awe-inspired moment about the technicians involved in the film… “What else can you ask for when the elite magicians of music and visuals – Maestro Ilayaraja and Cinematographer P.C. Sriram come together for a film? It’s not about the Tamil audience, but their versatility has wowed everyone on the global panorama. Just as everyone is invigorated over their collaboration, I’m also literally excited to see their magic together.”

Talking about an unusual yet attention grabbing star-cast, producer Arun Mozhi Manickam says, “Most of the times, it happens that decisions pertaining to the star-cast are inclined towards a director’s mindset. But with Mysskin sir, it’s completely different. Although, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Aditi Rao Hydari, Nithya Menen and Ram were his firm choices, we had no second thoughts after hearing the script. In fact, even we would have preferably come up with the same names if Mysskin sir had offered us to suggest.”

The film produced by Arun Mozhi Manickam of Double Meaning Productions will be an edge-seated psychological thriller presented in trademark style of Mysskin.
