It's the battle of the best in MasterChef Tamil kitchen as the launch episode unveiled 14 hand-picked contestants. Set to fight it out for the coveted title by bringing their flavours to foray, the weekend’s episode witnessed 24 contestants from across Tamil Nadu engaging in an intense cook off to win their place in the show. From pongal cheesecake to deconstructed chocolate pan on a platter, the select 14 contestants impressed the judges with their culinary prowess. 

Bringing food aficionados’ wait to an end, the most revered culinary show, MasterChef Tamil premiered this weekend on Sun TV. 

Hosted by Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi, the first episode was nothing short of a grand spectacle, setting benchmarks in regional reality television. The brainchild of Innovative Film Academy, and the format brought by Endemol Shine, MasterChef Tamil made its most awaited debut.  

The premiere episode boasted the magnificence of the sets, which was on par with the International versions of the show. With perfectly curated themes, the kitchen comprised Elements from Tamil culture, but not compromising on the originality of the famed MasterChef kitchen. The contestants who were given the apron in the first episode are now set to battle it out against each other in a period of over 28 episodes in an intense competition, for the prized title of MasterChef Tamil. With complex tasks and sophisticated cooking techniques, the show promises to elevate the whole cooking reality show experience, with exceptional cooking talents and different cuisines from around the world.

Internationally revered culinary reality show, MasterChef today celebrated an important milestone in an event in the city. With the recent announcement of launching the international show in regional adaptations, the producers of the show – Innovative Film Academy and Endemol Shine today announced that the show will clock its 500^th on-air episode with the launch of MasterChef Tamil. Bringing together the key sponsors, the makers also formally unveiled the show format and shared insights about the grand sets of MasterChef Kitchen. Title sponsor Butterfly Kitchen Appliances, The co-sponsors Sakthi Masala, Tasty Tasty and Udhaya Krishna Ghee, Special Partners Sangeetha Mobiles, VELS University and Anil Foods and Invenio Origin, were present at the press conference

With the show slated for launch on 7th of August 2021 andwill be aired on Saturday and Sundaybetween 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM on Sun TV, the makers in the conference also shared insights about the tremendous support offered by the sponsors to bring the 500^th episode to life in true-blue Tamil style. Continuing with its many strokes of firsts, Amazon Prime Video released the trailer of the much-anticipated Tamil film, Ponmagal Vandhal, in a grand manner. With an aim to reach out to audiences across the South Indian markets, the service released the trailer of its first-ever direct-to-stream worldwide movie premiere, across 31 Tamil TV channels, simultaneously on 21st May at 8:43 pm (IST). Touted as one of the biggest ever TV trailer roadblock, a potential base of estimated 14 million viewers* watched the trailer at once on their television during the primetime mainly across Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.

Popular TV channels such as Sun TV, KTV, Star Vijay TV, Sun News, CNN News18 Tamil, ZEE Tamil and more aired the trailer of the upcoming film featuring the celebrated actor Jyotika. Sivakarthikeyan’s recent flick “Seemaraja” received a great love from the family audience and emerged as hit film in the box office. The film recently had its television premiere in Sun network channel, Following the occasion of new year eve. The film, which was telecasted at the prime-time at 6.30pm, attracted more than 21.52 TVR in TN , 22.2 TVR in chennai with 1,67,66,000 impressions on the first week. The film became no.1 in India, on the premiere day which attracted 22.02 Television Viewership ratings.

SUN TV CLASPS SATELLITE RIGHTS OF VENKAT PRABHU’S PARTY 

Venkat Prabhu’s PARTY has left no stone unturned over keeping us so much adhered to its celebrative anticipations. Right from the word ‘Go’ with its announcement till this phase towards release, the film has brimmed us with unflagging vitality.
