 *Here’s what the cast and crew of Bhoomi share about the most anticipated Pongal release*

After the runaway success of Mookuthi Amman and Hotstar Specials series Triples, Disney+ Hotstar VIP today unveiled the trailer of Bhoomi - further cementing its promise of presenting stellar Tamil content to fans everywhere in India. Starring Jayam Ravi and Nidhhi Agerwal, Bhoomi is one man’s mission to improve the life of farmers in his hometown before embarking on an unforgettable mission into outer space.

Producer Sujatha Vijaykumar, “Bhoomi is very close to my heart. Few stories own the essence to influence the audience positively, and this is one such film. Director Lakshman has encapsulated it with a lovely dose of entertainment. I would say that it’s a tailor-made film for the festive occasion of Pongal as everyone can watch and enjoy it together as a family. Bhoomi is going to be yet another stupendous milestone in the career of Jayam Ravi and Nidhhi Agerwal. Music director D Imman says, “This is my third film with Jayam Ravi-Lakshman duo. Every time Lakshman comes up with a story, it turns to be a big surprise as it would never possess the traces of his erstwhile films. Be it Romeo Juliet, Bogan, or Bhoomi, they completely differ in genre and presentation. I always consider it as a boon and, at the same time, a huge challenge. With his scripts being so much engrossing, it naturally adds more responsibility on my part to give my best. One thing I felt so happy about when Lakshman narrated to me the Bhoomi script was that I could sense the scope of music. I am elated to see the final output and am sure, the film is going to be a delightful Pongal treat for the audience.” 

Actress Nidhhi Agerwal says, “Usually, a story with the hero fighting for the justice or well being would limit the heroine to blink and miss roles. However, Bhoomi is an exception as my character has importance. I am glad that I could be a part of that offered me a scope to perform. Jayam Ravi has been a wonderful co-star to work with. His dedication and passion for his profession are so pure, and that’s the reason people love him. I am pleased to be a part of his 25th film. Director Lakshman has come up with a story that will be received cheerfully in all regions. The incredible story features an ensemble cast including Ronit Roy who will be portraying a grey character and Sathish, Thambi Ramaiah, Dato Radha Ravi, Saranya Ponvannan amongst others. Directed by Lakshman and Produced by Sujatha Vijaykumar, the highly-anticipated movie brings with it the true-spirit of harvest season as it readies for launch this Pongal, 14th January 2021 on Disney+ Hotstar VIP.
