New promo reveals launch date; introduces Shabana Shahjahan as lawyer Lalithambika

Chennai, August 29, 2025 — JioHotstar has officially announced 19th September as the streaming date of its latest Hotstar Specials series, Police Police. After a strong response to the first promo that introduced leads Mirchi Senthil and Jayaseelan Thangavel playing the characters Raja and Murali respectively, the new promo features silver-screen heart-throb Shabana Shahjahan as Lalithambika, an honest spirited lawyer.

In this fun promo, Lalithambika mistakes Murali (Jayaseelan) for a thief; Murali plays along as she drags him to the police station—where he actually works. The video ends with a cheeky twist as Murali fakes an injury to make Lalithambika feel sorry for him and a playful spark is teased between the two. The dynamics between Senthil and Jayaseelan, now teased with Shabana’s lively entry, hints at a blend of action, humor, and romance.

The ensemble cast includes Mirchi Senthil, Sujitha Dhanush, Jayaseelan Thangavel, Shabana Shahjahan, Sathya, Vincent Roy, and others.

Riding the momentum of Hotstar Specials Office and HeartBeat Season 2, Police Police will keep audiences engaged every week starting September 19 exclusively on JioHotstar. Follow JioHotstar’s social handles for promos, announcements, and more.
