The makers of the Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 wrapped up the final shooting schedule for the movie in Mumbai recently. As a special treat for the fans, here’s a glimpse of Ranveer Singh in the iconic Natraj pose, playing at the Tunbridge Wells ground where Kapil Dev scored 175 runs against Zimbabwe in the 1983 world cup semi-finals. 

The India-Zimbabwe match remains to be one of the most memorable matches in Cricket history and also one that was neither broadcasted nor recorded by any channels at that time. 

Ranveer Singh underwent an extreme makeover to look as close to Kapil Dev as possible and it can be said for sure that the hard work paid off as the picture looks like Kapil Dev himself and not his reel-life adaption!

Touted to be the biggest sports film of all time, ’83 is being presented by Reliance Entertainment. The film is produced by Deepika Padukone, Sajid Nadiadwala, Kabir Khan, Nikhil Dwivedi, Vishnu Induri, 83 Films Ltd. and Phantom Films. ’83, directed by Kabir Khan, is slated to release on the 10th April 2020.
