  • Direct connections from Gwalior to Delhi and Indore effective Sep 01

In-line with its vision to further strengthen regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, today commenced operations from Gwalior. The new route was inaugurated with lamp lighting at the Gwalior airport as well as Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by Honourable Union Minister for Civil Aviation – Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia (virtually), Honourable Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh (virtually-TBC), Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and other eminent dignitaries from Gwalior, Bhopal, and Indore at the Gwalior airport.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, “We are pleased to launch operations from Gwalior making it IndiGo’s 70th domestic destination and 4th station in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This is yet another milestone for us as we make further strides in our plan to connect seven regional destinations on 6E network this year. The winter capital of Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior, is known for its beautiful forts, temples, tomb, museum, and palaces. The increased accessibility will not only enhance trade and commerce, but also promote tourism in Gwalior, especially at this time when Indians are increasingly looking towards domestic vacations to rejuvenate and destress. Starting this month, IndiGo will now be operating 486 weekly flights from these four cities to key destinations across the country. These new connections will strengthen connectivity to and from these cities in Madhya Pradesh, while fulfilling the demand for enhanced regional connectivity. IndiGo will also connect Gwalior to other metro and major cities like Bengaluru, Kolkata and Hyderabad via Delhi and Mumbai and Goa via Indore.

IndiGo expands regional footprint

IndiGo expands regional footprint; commences operations from Bareilly

Launches exclusive connections from Bareilly to Bengaluru and Mumbai

In-line with its vision to deepen regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, today commenced operations from Bareilly, the 68th domestic destination on the 6E network. The inauguration was done with lamp lighting at the Bareilly airport as well as Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by Honourable Union Minister for Civil Aviation – Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia (virtually) and other eminent dignitaries at the Bareilly airport.




Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, “The launch of our flight operations from Bareilly marks the progress on our plan to connect seven key regional destinations in the country this year. Bareilly has always been special as it was identified as one of the 100 Smart Cities being developed in India, making it a promising hub for IT/ITeS services. Enhanced connectivity will promote trade and commerce while offering support in realising the vision for Bareilly as it progresses towards a smart future. Bareilly, a sacred city located at the foothills of Nainital, Ranikhet and Kumaon region, will also attract domestic and international tourists via direct connectivity from Mumbai and Bangalore”.

Bareilly is one of the most populous cities of Uttar Pradesh and also known for its furniture manufacturers as well as trade in cotton, cereal, and sugar. The new non-stop connections will augment the commercial opportunities not only in Bareilly, but the city also becomes a gateway for nearby destinations like Nainital, Ranikhet, Rudrapur and other tourist and business area. Bareilly will now be connected to other destinations on IndiGo’s network through nonstop services to Bengaluru and Mumbai.

-       IndiGo will connect Jabalpur with Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Indore

-        Flights to commence from August 20,2021, bookings open

In its bid to strengthen regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, announced Jabalpur as its 69th domestic destination on the 6E network. The airline will operate direct flights from Jabalpur to Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Indore, w.e.f August 20, 2021. These new connections will strengthen connectivity between Jabalpur and the key cities in the country, while fulfilling the demand for enhanced connectivity.

In order to support the government-led mass vaccination programme, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, has launched a special discount on IndiGo flights for vaccinated customers from June 23, 2021. The customers who have been administered either one or both the COVID-19 vaccine doses, can avail a discount of up to 10% per cent on the base fare while booking. IndiGo is the first airline to roll out this offer in India.

Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy & Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, “Being the largest airline in the country, we feel it is our responsibility to contribute to the national vaccination drive, by encouraging more people towards this common goal. This offer will not only strengthen their resolve towards vaccination, but also ensure that they can travel safely at affordable fares with IndiGo. We are committed to offer an on-time, hassle-free travel experience to our customers, on-board our lean, clean flying machine”.

The offer is only available to vaccinated passengers aged 18 years and above, who are located in India at the time of booking and have already received a Covid-19 vaccine in the country. Passengers who have availed the offer at the time of booking shall be required to furnish a valid Covid-19 vaccination certificate, issued by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India. Alternately, they can display their vaccination status on the Aarogya Setu mobile application at the airport check-in counter/boarding gate.

Limited inventory is available under the offer and therefore, discounts will be provided subject to availability of inventory. This offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer, scheme, or promotion. IndiGo introduces ‘6EBagport’ for door-to-door baggage

            IndiGo introduces ‘6EBagport’ for door-to-door baggage
                    transfer service, in collaboration with CarterPorter

 

In line with its vision to provide one-stop shop services to its customers, India’s leading airline - IndiGo - has partnered with CarterPorter, an on-demand platform that connects the airport to doorstep to launch ‘6EBagport’, to provide door to door baggage delivery service. The airline has commenced the service from April 1, 2021 in New Delhi and Hyderabad and will subsequently launch it in Mumbai and Bengaluru for delivery to and from home and airport. The facility will enable passengers to travel worry-free as CarterPorter will transfer their baggage contactless from one destination to another with added assistance inside the terminal. The service starts at a nominal rate of INR 630 for one way and passengers can book the service from the comfort their home.

 

Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo said, “We are continuously striving to enhance our customer service and this collaboration is a step further towards providing a one-stop hassle-free experience. The service will bring relief to customers who may want to travel with additional baggage from home to airport or would like to go for a meeting directly from airport without carrying bags. Our partnership with CarterPorter will ensure that our customers have a seamless experience as their baggage gets transferred door to door while they fly onboard our lean, clean flying machine”.

In-line with its goal of strengthening regional connectivity, IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, has announced 14 new flights on its 6E network. Starting from March 28, 2021, IndiGo will operate new flights between Bhubaneswar- Allahabad, Bhubaneswar-Varanasi, Bhopal-Allahabad, Dibrugarh-Dimapur, Shillong-Agartala, Shillong- Silchar, and Rajahmundry, Visakhapatnam under RCS scheme.

Direct connections between two capital cities Bhubaneshwar and Bhopal to Allahabad, from the tea city of India, Dibrugarh to the most populous city of Nagaland, Dimapur, Shillong- Agartala, the two capital cities of northeastern India, and Rajahmundry and Visakhapatnam- the two capital cities of Andhra Pradesh, will cater to the regional travel demand.
