VELAMMAL'S CHILD PRODIGY HONOURED

The child prodigy, Miss Mahisha Manikandan of LKG, V-KIDS, Nolambur, has bagged the  Excellence Award for her extraordinary performance in Western Dance for the U-8 category, recently. She was honoured by the organiser, Mr.M Edwin, the Founder and Artistic Director of Footloose.

About 100 kids from various schools across Chennai participated in this event.

The School Management appreciates the child prodigy on her alluring dance performance.

INTER-SCHOOL CULTURAL COMPETITION HELD AT VELAMMAL

Velammal Main School, Mugappair campus hosted OVATION – 2018, an Inter-School Cultural Competition for students on 17^th November, 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm. 

The chief guest Mr. Sathish Muthukrishnan, Cine actor inaugurated the auspicious occasion by lighting the lamp. He gave an inspiring and motivating speech. He advised the students for an all round development in all the skills to enhance their personality. 

More than 7000 participants took part in the event. Competitions like Brain teaser, Instrumental music, Designer Logo, Strokes, Western dance were organized for the students. 

Prizes worth two lakhs were given to the winners. A wide variety of Cultural performance was staged during the inaugural ceremony. It encouraged the students to adopt innovative techniques and develop their ideas and skills.
