VELAMMAL STUDENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE
WORLD RECORD SATELLITE LAUNCH EVENT
Young
scientists from Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Aynambakkam, took part in Dr.
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam's space research payload cubes challenge 2021 which
was held in Rameswaram on Sunday, 7th February, 2021 at 10.30am.
Hon'ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the students who took part in this World Record event.
A
total of 100 Femto satellites were launched through two high altitude
scientific balloons and they landed over 100 kms away. 800 students
across the nation participated.
This event was organized by
A.P.J. Abdul Kalam International Foundation(AKIF) along with Space Zone
India and Martin Group to kindle interest among students in
STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
The school management appreciates the students for their commendable efforts.
