Bath & Body Works Attempts its First Guinness World RecordsTM at VR Chennai!

The Personal Care Brand expands its Retail Footprint in South India with its second store launch at VR Chennai

Bath & Body Works, one of the world’s leading specialty retailers of fragrant products for bath, body and home for more than 20 years expands their retail footprint in Chennai with the opening of their second store at VR Chennai on 13th July. Hallmark fragrance collections from the brand like Japanese Cherry Blossom and A Thousand Wishes will be available at the store. Having established itself as one of the best and most sought after personal essentials and home fragrance brand, the VR Chennai store will be spread over 1300 sq. feet that will allow customers to explore an extensive array of fragrances for the bath, body, and home.

Bath and Body Works known for its fragrance believes in creating an experience for “HER” and hence commemorates the launch in association with Major Brands Pvt Ltd&VR Chennai by attempting to enter the Guinness World Records^TM on 13th July 2019 aiming to get the title of “Most participants in a perfume relay application”. The brand will attempt to create the largest fragrance relay with their signature fragrance mists and have the most people use a mist together creating a fragrance chain at VR Chennai. Super Star Hansika Motwani will be the first participant at the Bath and Body Works event to begin the Guinness World Records^TM attempt.

This is brand’s first attempt in India as well globally. The brand in association with Major Brands Pvt Ltd. & VR Chennai will attempt the Guinness World Records^TM on Saturday to get shoppers excited and engage with the brand.

Bath and Body Works has been exclusively launched in India by Major Brands Pvt Ltd, in June 2018.

Globally launched in 1990, the brand’s portfolio today comprises over 200 different fragrances including the iconic Sweet Pea, Japanese Cherry Blossom, A Thousand Wishes, Aromatherapy, Hello beautiful as well as new seasonal releases. At Bath & Body Works, customers are invited to sample luxurious lotions, hand soaps, fragrances and more to discover their favorites.

VR Chennai, Anna Nagar, is a 2 MM sq. ft. experiential, community centric, retail and lifestyle center. Built with both local heritage and modern sustainable building practices in mind, the Centre is the largest in South India to be conferred the LEED Gold certification from IGBC (Indian Green Building Council). The Centre is home to 240 retail stores offering fashion, food, and entertainment, and a brand-mix that includes the best international and local offerings, including many first-time retail and entertainment brands in Chennai. Additionally, VR Chennai houses The Hive, a 50,000 sq. ft. co-working space and the soon to be launched Madras House - a destination within a destination, which will offer multiple fine dining options, a black-box theatre and event space, an open-air amphitheatre, along with a boutique hotel and serviced residences.

Atharvaa Murali starrer “100” gets increased shows and screens

Good contents always have the potentials to get its reach unconditionally. This has been something witnessed time and again with lots of instances to mention. Apparently, Atharvaa Murali-Hansika Motwani starrer “100” has witnessed such an incredible success with its show run in box office now. Ticking off all the boxes among critics and general audiences, the shows and screens have been increased for the film now.

Much exhilarated over the unheralded success, Kavya Venugopal of Auraa Cinemas says, “A complete surprise to us all! We are in complete awe of such an incredible response from audiences across the places. We are getting calls from both distributors and exhibitors claiming that the response is awesome. More than their verbal appreciations, we are proud and happy that 50 shows and 25 screens have been increased for the film. Usually, the occupancies during the first week would be less than the opening weekend, but in contrast, we are astonished to see they are getting increased. The film’s theme and the way Sam Anton had packaged it with commercial treatment has worked out well. In addition, the screen presence of Atharvaa Murali has added a lot to the film’s value. More than all, the emotional content that happens to be the film’s gist has worked out a lot among the family audiences.”

Atharvaa Murali-Hansika Motwani starrer “100” Press Meet

Just as the official announcement on “100” movie getting scheduled for release on May 9, the entire team was present for its media and press interaction this evening. The event commenced with the screening of theatrical trailer and couple of lyric video songs.

Music Director Sam CS said, “The film might be assumed as stereotypical cop movie, but has lots of freshness in it. The way Sam Anton narrated me the story made me instantly drawn into it. The treatment is completely unique and it has every element that will attract family audiences. I am thankful to Sam Anton for giving me an opportunity and complete freedom to experiment in new musical zones. Atharvaa Murali, Hansika Motwani and everyone in the team have given their best into the show. The entire team is so much positive and it is definitely going to be a landmark film for him.”

Cinematographer Krishnan Vasant said, “Although, Sam Anton’s previous films were humour based, it was so interesting to hear each and every scene of 100 during the script narration itself. I am sure audiences will feel the edge seated moments thoroughly in many places.”

Producer Mahesh of Auraa Cinemas said, “This is a dream come true for me as 100 marks my debut film as producer. So far, I have distributed many movies and it’s been a long run dream for me to become producer. Director Sam Anton and I share a good vibe from the days of our college. While narrating the script, I could see that it has lots of elements to engross family audiences. Every actor and technician has done perfect justice to their roles. Atharvaa Murali as cop has done a prodigious job. Be it Krishnan Vasant’s cinematography, Ruben’s editing and Sam CS’ musical score, everything has nurtured the film efficiently.”

Director Sam Anton says, “My bonding with Auraa Cinemas Mahesh sir extends from our day of college. He is my college senior and it is really a great moment to work together. The best obvious person I must thank is Atharvaa Murali sir for banking his hopes on me. This is because my previous movies have been completely based on comedy and to see him accept my script is a bliss. It’s not a common action movie as many cops do. It has lots of drama happening inside police control room. We have tried projecting a serious social issue as premise and tried giving solution too.”

Actor Atharvaa Murali said, “I am so happy that Sam Anton narrated such an engaging script. I request him to continue making action oriented scripts. The dramatic events in the film will be definitely impressive and I believe audiences will enjoy the show. It’s not just about a serious premise, but has lots of elements that will engross universal audiences. Hansika Motwani and others have done their roles aptly perfect. I am thankful to producer Mahesh sir for taking special interest into the project and Sam CS’ musical score is intriguing.
