On behalf of TzuChi Foundation, EssEmm Corporation facilitates

 On behalf of TzuChi Foundation, EssEmm Corporation facilitates contribution of 600 units of O2 Concentrators

 

EssEmm Corporation a Coimbatore based company specializing in Food Processing Automation has facilitated a contribution of 600 units of Oxygen Concentrators worth around 2.50 crores through their International associates The TzuChi Foundation based in Taiwan. 

 

Out of the 600 units, 400 units have been allocated by Mr. Sathish Nair, MD, EssEmm Corporation to Thiru Udhayanidhi Stalin, Member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Mrs. Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Member of the Parliament, Lok Sabha for the State of Tamil Nadu and 200 units have been allocated for the State of Kerala. 

 

The requirement of Oxygen concentrators was first requested by The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Spectrum for the Coimbatore Corporation. EssEmm Corporation in association with The Rotary Club had organized the requirement of the machines for the Corporation of Coimbatore and also for the rest of the cities in TamilNadu to be organized through the TzuChi Foundation.

 


 

The machines are directly donated from the TzuChi Foundation Taiwan to the Tamilnadu State Government through The Tamil Nadu Medical Corporation Limited. The units will be distributed to various government hospital and state associated health centers.  

 

The 200 units of Oxygen concentrators have been donated to the State of Kerala to NORKA through The Kerala State Medical Corporation Limited.

 

Speaking about the initiative Mr. Sathish Nair, MD, EssEmm Corporation said " It gives me immense happiness to be part of this initiative. I thank Tzu Chi Foundation for their large hearted support and contribution to our country during these distress times. We will continue to contribute and be part of our public and social needs."

 Shri Nitin Gadkari inaugurates SIAM’s virtual safety gallery to sensitize citizens about road safety

 Road Safety Month commences, the theme this year is ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’

Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) marked the beginning of National Road Safety month with the inauguration of first ever Virtual Road Safety Educative Gallery. Shri Rajnath Singh, Honorable Defense Minister and Shri Nitin Gadkari, Honorable Minister of Ministry of Road Transport & Highways inaugurated the virtual gallery. The inaugural event was also graced by Dr V K Singh, MP, Lok Sabha; Mr Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog and other senior leaders from Ministry and other eminent dignitaries.

The safety gallery is based on guidelines of United Nations Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030, which is divided under five sectors capturing different aspects of road safety. The gallery showcases the projects and awareness drives led by SIAM members, industry stakeholders and multiple other national and international organisations. Road Safety education gallery is intended to help millions of common citizens of all age groups from across India access information related to road safety with click of a button sitting at place of convenience or home 24×7.The primary objective of the virtual gallery is to educate individuals about the safety and drive behavioral changes by inculcating best practices across age groups, thus making Indian roads safer. 


Sharing details about the road safety month,Mr. Rajesh Menon, Director General, SIAM said, “SIAM’s unique virtual road safety education gallery focuses on distance learning and artificial intelligence to spread the message of road safety. It will help the viewer to explore & understand the amount of road safety work being done by national and international organizations and also implement the learning from these projects for improvement in their respective states. The virtual platform auditorium will showcase various sessions on road safety awareness for students, professional drivers and individuals. Over the last two decades, SIAM with the support of its member companies has been instrumental in making driving and commuting safer for everyone through various seminars, workshops, health check-up camps and implementation of rules and policies.”

Designed on the tenets of ‘Sadak Suraksha Jeevan Raksha’, the road safety month will be observed from January 18, 2021 till February 17, 2021, in association with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India (MoRTH) and Delhi Traffic Police. All the partner OEMs – Ashok Leyland, Hero MotoCorp, Hyundai Motor India, Mahindra & Mahindra, M G Motors, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India and TATA Motors have shared the information on Road Safety via videos, presentations etc.
