VR Chennai in association with Apsara Reddy presents a special Musical extravaganza in the aid of the fight against hunger featuring Chennai’s favourite celebrity Vinaita, Shantanu, Kiki Vijay & Oviya as part of VR Weekends activities. Also win exciting prizes at the #MyChennaiMyVR Selfie contest.
According to FAO estimates in 'The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, 2019' report, 194.4 million people are undernourished in India. By this measure 14.5% of the population is undernourished in India. Also, 51.4% of women in reproductive age between 15 to 49 years are anaemic.
With this as the backdrop Apsara Reddy, All India Mahila Congress General Secretary and Social Activist has put together an advocacy and awareness Musical Concert at VR Chennai on Sunday 29-09-2019. Joining her will be Bigg Boss fame Oviya Helen and Celebrity couple Shanthnoo and Kiki. A high tempo music concert by Vinaita Sivakumar and band will enthral audiences with some foot-tapping Hindi and Tamil numbers.
An exclusive guest list will also be treated to sights and sounds of hunger and what we as a society can do to alleviate a cause that is silent and ever so humiliating.
