Radhakrishnan Parthiban’s OS7 wins 3 honours at Toronto Tamil International Film Festival 2020
The heavy downpour of accolades continues showering upon the multi-faceted icon of Tamil cinema – Radhakrishnan Parthiban. From getting acknowledged by critics at Academy Awards to winning the hearts of every audience in theatres, Oththa Seruppu Size 7 became an epitome of new wave cinema. Winning more accolades for the unparalleled attempt, Radhakrishnan Parthiban is now honoured with 3 awards at Toronto Tamil International Film Festival 2020.
This includes Jury Award for Best Feature Film, Jury Award for Best Feature Film Director and Best Solo Act Award.
Actor-director Radhakrishnan Parthiban says, “It’s yet another heartwarming treat for me as I feel honoured to get these prestigious honours at Toronto Tamil International Film Festival. The way, they acknowledge and honour the hard work and effort of artistes and technicians is really awe-inspiring and I am extremely happy to have bagged three honours for my film ‘Oththa Seruppu Size 7’. Such appreciations instill in me the urge to go ahead and make more new attempts. I take this opportunity to thank every jury member of Toronto Tamil International Film Festival, my friends from the film fraternity, press, media and audiences, who wholeheartedly appreciated and personally took efforts in spreading the positive word about the film. OS7 was a seed of vision that I sowed last year with lots of challenges faced and now it’s gifting with harvests of joy. Filled with more confidence, I am now sowing my next vision – Iravin Nizhal, which I trust will reap me the fruits of joy for next year.”
