Vels Film International and D Studios Post Unite as “Vels - D Studio”
Vels Film International has partnered with Director Vijay’s D Studios Post, one of South India’s most dynamic creative hubs. Through this partnership, the studio will now operate as “Vels - D Studio,” marking an important step in strengthening Tamil cinema’s technical and creative capabilities.
D Studios Post has become a preferred destination for leading filmmakers, known for its modern facilities, skilled team, and high-quality work. With Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh joining forces with Director Vijay, the studio is now set for wider expansion, bringing together vision, scale, and expertise.
Director Vijay says, “Chennai has always been the heartbeat of Indian cinema. Over the
years, I noticed how Mumbai was taking a lead in certain areas of filmmaking. That
inspired me to create a world-class creative ecosystem here. Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh sir, has been a lifelong inspiration. His discipline, leadership, and vision have always guided me throughout my journey. This partnership feels extremely special. Together, Vels - D
Studio will become a centre of excellence for Tamil cinema.”
He adds that the upgraded studio will offer a complete one-window solution for
filmmakers, including high-end cameras, production equipment, editing suites, sound
and visual effects support, and outdoor units. All of this is designed to provide a seamless and stress-free experience for directors, producers, and technicians.
