AN APPEAL TO ALL ACTORS AND TECHNICIANS

 

Dear All,

 

Tamil Cinema is undergoing several challenging situations due to the impact of Corona. Producers, who invested crores of rupees are facing a difficult situation to recover their investment. With most of the rights like satellite, digital/OTT, overseas, dubbing and Tamil Nadu theatrical rights etc., not being sought by buyers for most films, Producers are unable to pay back even the interest payment to the lenders. 

 

In this situation, it is the responsibility of all actors and technicians to come forward and help the Producers, whose films are under production and are stuck due to this lockdown. The Producers can manage to come out of this trying condition and release their films smoothly, only if their total investment in films reduce by at least 40 to 50%. Only then, even if their films do not fetch big revenues, they can come out without much loss. 

 

 

 

In both Telugu and Malayalam film industries, all artistes and technicians have come forward and accepted 30 to 50% reduction in their current salaries. In Tamil cinema, a few actors have come forward to reduce their salaries by 30%, considering the difficult situation of their Producers. While we appreciate their kind gesture, it is not enough. Only when all the actors, actresses and technicians, who get a remuneration of Rs.10 Lakhs and above come forward and accept a reduction of 30% in their salaries, Producers can reduce their overall cost, complete their films and release them without any financial difficulty.

 

We are making this request only for the films which were under production and are stuck due to Covid-19 and not for new films, which you are signing and commencing, for which you and the Producers may decide on appropriate remuneration. For the films, which were stuck for over 6 months due to this pandemic, we are making this request.

 

Considering the difficult situation of the Producers, whose films are stuck, on behalf of Tamil Film Active Producers Association, we request all the actors and technicians, who earn more than Rs.10 Lakhs as the salary for their films, to accept this 30% reduction in salary and complete the films to release them, when the theatres open soon.

Madhav Media is making a series of promising films in Tamil cinema.After Zero and Ispade Rajavum idhaya Raniyum ,  the production house is busy with two other  ventures,  they are Oh Mana Pennae starring Harish Kalyan and an other movie that brings together Director Sasi and Harish Kalyan.

They have now rolled out another mega movie.  Starring the top actor Simbu in Suseenthiran's direction.  It is a commercial entertainer with action, emotion,  love, sentiment and comedy.Simbu has trimmed his physique for this movie. He is playing an interesting lead role in the venture.

Bharathiraja and Nidhi Agarwal are also a part of this movie with several promising artists. Cinematography is done by Thiru, music by SS Thaman, editing is by Antony,production designer-Rajeevan.

A team of talented technicians are a part of it.

The shooting is on at Dindigul and adjoining areas. It will be wrapped up in a single schedule. Plans are on to release this movie by 2021.

‘Iyakkunar Imayam’ Veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja acclaims “House Owner”

Filmmaker Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s “House Owner” has been garnering an impeccable attention across all the places for almost all the good reasons. From the unusually attractive title to Ghibran’s mellifluous songs and the trailers that serves as a ‘Mirage of Rain’ through technical bonanzas for people out there baked under scorching sun, everything has turned up as a positive attribute. This beautiful and emotional love story inspired fro true incidents features Kishore, Sriranjani, Lovelyn Chandrasekhar, "Pasanga" Kishore in lead roles. With the film scheduled for worldwide release on June 28, 2019, ‘Iyakkunar Imayam’ Bharathiraja sends forth his abundant praises after special screening of this film.  

Says director Bharathiraja, “Even before watching the film, I was confident that it holds an impactful theme and will definitely impress everyone, but I was surprised as it exceeded my anticipations. Throughout the film, I was reveled watching the new dimension of Lakshmy Ramakrishnan. What made me so engrossed is that the film has something magical that turns us from mere audience into onlookers of a family. It was amazing to see that none of the faces had cinematic shades. Everyone and everything was so real and naturalistic that involves dialogue deliveries, acting and expressions. Yes, although I was in Chennai during the harsh and violent floods, I didn’t realize the real pain of people out there, but had myself emotionally inclined while watching this movie. Written and directed by critically acclaimed Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Krishnasekhar T.S. (Cinematography), C.S. Prem Kumar (Editing), Tapas Nayak (Audiography), Karky-Anuradha (Lyrics), M.V. DIRECTOR SUSIENTHIRAN’S KENNEDY CLUB SPEAKS CHINESE NOW

The concept of ‘Content is King’ gets proven with a much surpassing magnitude and it’s a groundbreaking moment for the entire Tamil film industry indeed. Susienthiran’s upcoming directorial “Kennedy Club” is being dubbed in Chinese language, where the rights have been acquired for a whopping price of 2Cr. The film is based on the real life incidents revolving around women Kabaddi team featuring veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja and Sasikumar in lead roles.

The film is produced by Thai Saravanan for Nallusamy Pictures, which is scheduled for worldwide release on Tamil New Year Day 2019.
