Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited Gold Loans helping
to meet customers’ financial requirements

 Gold loans offered at an interest rate of 12% pa for agriculture and at 14% pa for others


Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited (the “Bank”), the largest small finance bank ("SFB") in India in terms of number of banking outlets as of March 31, 2019 (Source: CRISIL report), is offering gold loan to customers to meet their cash requirements.

With an aim to provide best service to the customers, [the gold loan is processed through easy documentation and instant cash. NACH repayment is also available for this product.

Loans secured by gold jewellery of customers, repayable by monthly instalments or interest modes scheme rather than on one-time repayment basis only. Average ticket size of loans is in the range of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 4 million. The maximum loan tenure for any scheme is 24 months.

Customers can avail this loan by visiting a nearest branch of Equitas SFB. Customers availing gold loans can repay through EMIs and Equitas SFB also offers overdraft facility in this product.

Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited is the largest SFB in India in terms of number of banking outlets, and the second largest SFB in India in terms of assets under management and total deposits in Fiscal 2019. Its focus customer segments include individuals with limited access to formal financing channels on account of their informal, variable and cash-based income profile. It offers a range of financial products and services that address the specific requirements of these customer segments by taking into account their income profile, nature of business and type of security available. On the liability side, its target customers comprise mass and mass-affluent individuals to whom the Bank offers current accounts, salary accounts, savings accounts, and a variety of deposit accounts. In addition, it also provides non-credit offerings comprising ATM-cum-debit cards, third party insurance, mutual fund products, and issuance of FASTags.

ICICI Home Finance Unveils Instant Gold Loans
Fund transfer via NEFT/RTGS will aid quick disbursement

ICICI Home Finance has unveiled its Gold Loan scheme, packed with unique benefits such as instant disbursement via NEFT and RTGS making transaction safe and secure. Additional features of the ICICI Home Finance Gold Loan include bullet repayments that will help cut down the burden of an EMI, as well as a fixed interest rate throughout the loan tenure, and a foreclosure payment option, for those fraught with economic hardships during this Covid-19 pandemic. The ICICI Home Finance Gold Loan scheme interest rate ranges from 12% to 21% per annum, and the loan amount starts from Rs. 10,000 upto Rs.10 lakhs.

ICICI Home Finance’s Gold Loan can be availed in Tamil Nadu at any of the three ICICI Home Finance branches located in 2nd floor, AB-106, Old No :134, 4th Avenue, Shanthi Colony, Annanagar, Chennai-600040;3rd floor, M.T.Rajen's Square, Door No.40, Bazullah Road, T. Nagar, Chennai – 600017 and 2nd Floor, Door No. 20, Kakkan Street, West Tambaram, Chennai – 600045.

Each ICICI Home Finance branch has its own gold valuer, who can evaluate the value of gold in the customer’s presence. The application process requires the submission of KYC documents such as Proof of Identity and Proof of Address, PAN/Form 60, customer’s photograph and a blank cancelled cheque. Each branch’s sales team can review the application and disburse the loan on the spot.

Speaking about the Gold Loan scheme, Mr. Anirudh Kamani, CEO, ICICI Home Finance, said, “Our Gold Loan scheme has been developed to offer quick monetary assistance to those salaried and self-employed individuals running their businesses and families. Our Gold loans scheme ensures direct cash transfer in a secure way which can be used for payments related to Covid-19 medical care, school fees. It can be used as working capital for businesses and for any timely payments which are causing roadblocks during this period.”

ICICI Home Finance has been taking proactive measures at 135 branches that have opened up across orange and green zones, including temperature screening of all visitors and employees before entering the branch, cleaning of common office spaces regularly, and placing of hand sanitisers at various locations, and having employees use masks at all times.

Federal Bank delivers strong operating performance with 27% growth in operating profit

Federal Bank announced its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended 31st March 2020 today.
Highlights
·         Operating profit registers a growth of 27.10% to reach ₹ 959.31 Cr in Q4 FY20
·         Asset quality improves significantly with gross NPA coming down by 8 bps and Net NPA coming down by 17 bps on a YoY basis to 2.84% and 1.31% respectively
·         Material improvement in provision coverage ratio as it improves by 809 bps on a QoQ basis to 53.39%
·         Total business of the Bank registered a growth of 12.02% to reach ₹ 2,76,443.30 Cr
·         Deposits record a growth of 12.85% to reach ₹ 1,52,290.08 Cr
·         Retail advances record a growth of 19.39%
·         Gold Loans grow by 28.68%
·         NRE deposits grow by 14.20 % to reach ₹ 57,223.13 Cr

Commenting on the results and financial performance, Mr. Shyam Srinivasan, Managing Director & CEO, 
Federal Bank said, the Bank has delivered a robust operating performance with the operating profit
registering a growth of 27%. The asset quality of the Bank has improved substantially, which is a positive. 
To face any unfavorable situation that may arise due to the pandemic, we have increased the provisions 
substantially and strengthened the balance sheet. On the business front, the Bank has achieved robust 
growth in the retail segment with housing loans and gold loans growing handsomely.

OPERATING REVIEW
Total Business
The total business of the Bank reached ₹ 2,76,443.30 Cr as on 31st March 2020 from ₹ 2,46,783.61 Cr as on 31st March 2019 registering a growth of 12.02%.
Credit Growth
Gross Advances reached ₹ 1,24,153.18 Cr as on 31st March 2020 from ₹ 1,11,829.27 Cr as on 31st March 2019 registering a growth of 11.02%. Retail advances grew by 19.39% to reach ₹ 37,877.97 Cr as on 31st March 2020 from ₹ 31,726.99 Cr as on 31st March 2019. Gold loans registered a robust growth 28.68% to reach ₹ 9,301.00 Cr as on 31st March 2020. Housing Loans went up by 18.42% to reach ₹ 18,229.34 Cr. Agri advances registered a growth of 12.50% to reach ₹ 12,874.26 Cr as on 31st March 2020 from ₹ 11,444.00 Cr as on 31st March 2019. Business Banking advances grew by 10.93% to reach ₹ 10,609.75 Cr.
Deposit Growth
Deposits recorded a growth of 12.85% to reach ₹ 1,52,290.09 Cr as on 31st March 2020 from ₹ 1,34,954.34 Cr as on 31st March 2019. The CASA deposits reached ₹ 45,450.24 Cr as on 31st March 2020. The NRE deposits of the Bank posted a growth of 14.20% during the year to reach ₹ 57,223.13 Cr as on 31st March 2020.
Operating Profit & Net Profit
The Bank delivered an annual operating profit of ₹ 3,204.69 Cr as on 31st March 2020 against ₹ 2,763.10 Cr as on 31st March 2019 registering a growth of 15.98%. Quarterly operating profit rose to ₹ 959.31 Cr from ₹ 754.75 Cr registering a growth of  27.10%. The annual net profit reached an all-time high of ₹ 1,542.78 Cr.
Margins
Annual Net Interest Income increased to ₹ 4,648.90 Cr from ₹ 4,176.35 Cr registering a growth of 11.31% as on 31st March 2020 while the quarterly Net Interest Income increased to ₹ 1,216.02 Cr from ₹ 1,096.53 Cr as on 31st March 2020. Net Interest Margin stood at 3.05% for FY20 while the quarterly Net Interest Margin stood at 3.04%.
Asset Quality
The Gross NPA of the Bank as on 31st March 2020 stood at ₹ 3,530.83 Cr. Gross NPA as a percentage to Gross Advances is 2.84% coming down by 8 bps as on 31st March 2020. The Net NPA stood at ₹ 1,607.17 Cr and this as a percentage to Net Advances is 1.31% coming down by 17 bps as on 31st March 2020. The Provision Coverage Ratio (including technical write-offs) stood at 72.48% as on 31st March 2020.
Capital Adequacy & Net worth
The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CRAR) of the Bank, computed as per Basel III guidelines, stood at 14.35% as on 31st March 2020. The Net Worth of the Bank was at ₹ 14,517.61 Cr as on 31st March 2020.
