Jayam Ravi signs 3-film deal with Screen Scene Media Entertainment

Being handsome with overpowering screen presence, technically sound and being a winner on ‘Mass’ zone grids is a blunt rarity. Very few actors have achieved this status where they win the whistles and applause for massy strokes and at the same time praised for being a part of movies based on substantive contents. With the raging and rising stardom of Jayam Ravi rocketing irresistibly, he has become the most-loved actor of producers too. What’s more appealingly truthful to this context is Screen Scene Media Entertainment signing up the actor for a 3-Film Deal .

Enouncing the good news with more delightedness, Jayam Ravi says, “More than feeling excited about signing a 3-film deal, what makes me honestly happy is the passion of Screen Scene Media Entertainment to produce so many movies. Such a presence of these production studios is really a boon to Tamil film industry and I would have felt happy even if any of my fellow friends from the industry had got this deal. I have personally observed and got amazed by the selection of movies that SSME had earlier been and is now associated with. It is so obvious that they have been fervently dedicated in marketing and releasing the substantial content bounded movies. In this aspect, I am curious in looking forward to work on such content-driven roles and scripts produced by them. Of course, if not for the creatively compelling minds of filmmakers who had chosen me for their films; this would have not been possible. I thank everyone at Screen Scene Media Entertainment for choosing me to be a part of their long journey, which I believe and definitely return in many folds out of my responsibility.”

The actor affirms that they are currently discussing about the projects and the official announcements will be made soon.

I could feel the heat of Jayam Ravi’s ferocious cop act on the sets

“I could feel the heat of Jayam Ravi’s ferocious cop act on the sets” – Cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan

Be it dusty lands or the exquisite landscapes, his visual elegance has always enabled us for a wonderful movie-watching experience. Cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan has carved an impeccable niche of recognition through top-notch visuals. Here are some of the excerpts from this celebrated visual magician as he speaks about “Adanga Maru” scheduled for December 21 release.

On the first note, he abruptly starts talking about Jayam Ravi saying,  “I have been a close friend to Jayam Ravi and we have been acquainted for a very long time. But just imagine a soft spoken person transforming into a power house within few seconds after the camera goes on. In fact, I could feel the heat of Jayam Ravi’s ferocious cop act on the sets.”
Having seen Jayam Ravi play cop in many movies, how different was to see him and shoot for ‘Adanga Maru’? Sathyan reverts, “Yes, I have admired his versatile performance as cop in Bogan and Thani Oruvan. But there is something about his performance in Adanga Maru, which stands out to be entirely exceptional in comparison to his previous movies. It’s all because of Ravi’s uttermost efforts in giving importance to his body language and mannerisms. So is Raashi Khanna, who sincerely prepares before every scene, even for the simplest walks as well.”

While speaking about the technical team, Sathyan Sooryan says, “Being the captain of ship, Karthik Thangavel had a perfect plan made during pre-production phase. Precisely, this helped me a lot for preparing the best. Shooting the action sequence was pretty much challenging, especially the climax act. It doesn’t simply involve the routine combat, but involves some brainy factors too. While Stunt Siva and his son Kevin Kumar along with art director would often display their ‘Perfectionist’ avatar, I had no option but to work as hard as them.”

Adanga Maru is produced by Sujatha Vijayakumar of Home Movie Makers and is directed by Karthik Thangavel.

Winning tons of appreciations with India’s first ever space based thriller ‘Tik Tik Tik’ followed by an incredulous announcement of ‘Thani Oruvan 2’ and a strong impactful vibe with his upcoming release ‘Adanga Maru’, Jayam Ravi is predominantly affirmed to be a ‘Black Horse’ in showbiz now. On an absolute line up, the actor starts shooting for his new film, which is definitely going to be yet another unheralded premise for him.

He has often pushed the bars stepping out of his comfort zone, plunging for new attempts. It happens that when you come across a script, there would be an instant instinct of finding someone more apt for the role. Precisely, as soon as director narrated me the story, I couldn’t think of anyone than Ravi. More than going by my words, I am sure audience will witness this by themselves. We have commenced the shooting today in Chennai.”

Richard M Nathan is on board to handle cinematography and talks are going on with a top-league music director to compose music.
