In Covid Times, Please Stop Promoting Superstition, AndhVishwas Or Blind Faith In The Garb Of Entertainment, Poonam Karekar-Govekar Appeals To Colors and Salman Khan

“Chamatkar ko namaskar karungi. Why doesn’t Radhe Maa use her divine trishul to destroy the coronavirus from the face of the earth, or at least from Mumbai – the city where she made it big. Please stop promoting superstition and such elements who thrive on superstition and andhvishwas or blind faith, says Goan actress Poonam Karekar Govekar, who is livid after hearing the news that Radhe Maa has refused to leave her trishul outside the Bigg Boss house because she believes it has divine powers and if she leaves if outside she will not have any divine power left.

Prominent news portals are running a news item claiming that Radhe Maa is the highest paid contestant on Bigg Boss. What are you promoting in the bargain, asks Poonam, saying there are so many young, talented entertainers in India. Please stop taking us back to the stone age. As such the Corona virus has already wrecked enough havoc on this earth, she laments.

“When thousands are dying in India because of the deadly coronavirus, which has cost millions their jobs the world over and many people are broke or even starving, Colors should not in my opinion promote such flashily dressed make-believe god men and god women who thrive and enrich themselves, buying fancy foreign cars and expensive real estate, living and thriving on the blind faith or andhvishwas of their followers. This is the time for global awakening, for us as humans to accept the fragility of life and the very fact that a microscopic virus has turned the world upside down and brought it almost to a standstill. My humble appeal to Colors and Endemol is to promote a new way of life, instead of promoting blind faith, which will only benefit a few, but take thousands back to the dark ages,” Poonam Karekar-Govekar says in her message to Colors and the Bigg Boss host Salman Khan.

For those who came in late, the controversial godwoman Radhe Maa was once stopped from boarding her flight because she was carrying her "trident" - which according to the airline industry is classified as a weapon, and since the maverick Radhe Maa refused to leave it behind, she was not allowed to fly. On another occasion, Radhe Maa was stopped by a star hotel in Mumbai from entering its premises, because she was again carrying her trident. In another case a lawyer had filed a complaint against Radhe Maa for carrying weapons. There are at least 4-5 similar incidents when her trademark trident landed her in trouble. 

Further, the Bigg Boss house has its rules which are mentioned in their 70 or 80 page contract, which every contestant has to sign and it is notarized and registered before the registrar making it a water-tight legal document that can stand scrutiny in court. The Bigg Boss contract prohibits participants, contestants and even guests from carrying any dangerous items or weapons of any kind which could possibly be used to injure themselves or the other inmates of the house or pose a threat to the security of the venue or threaten anyone connected with the show.

Now, out-spoken and bold Goan actress Poonam Karekar-Govekar has asked Colors and the production house Endemol if they have bent their rules for Radhe Maa and allowed her to carry her trident in the house, or has Radhe Maa given up her trident for Bigg Boss?

Poonam also claimed that the controversial god woman Radhe Maa is not a paid contestant and is only making a guest appearance on the Bigg Boss Season 14 show which airs on Colors starting this week.

The guest appearance on the premium reality show is thanks to a business deal between the channel, production house and a Out Door Media Company OOH run by one of Radhe Maa’s followers.

Thanks to that media deal, Radhe Maa has got a chance to visit the Bigg Boss house as a special guest and will bless the contestants on the show,  Poonam explained, adding that she has got this information from very reliable sources.

As soon as news that controversial Godwoman Radhe Maa was going to be one of the contestants of the Bigg Boss show, began doing the rounds on social media, with Colors officially sharing a promo showing Radhe Maa in the Season 14 house, Goan actress and model Poonam Karekar Govekar phoned us to give us the news.

According to Poonam, she said her sources have told her that Radhe Maa has paid a huge sum of money to the makers of the show to get into the Bigg Boss house. So we asked Poonam what could be the amount. Poonam claims that in her rough estimates, Radhe Maa and her supporters could have possibly paid Colors a sum of Rs One Crore or even more to get selected as a contestant or participant of Bigg Boss.

 

 Bigg Boss is a very coveted show. Everyone wants to be part of it, because of the fantastic host Salman Khan and his inimitable style. Radhe Maa and her core group know that entering the show will up her brand image and give her millions of more fans. I am sure she must have paid the sky to be part of it, given the fact that for 4-5 years now, her name has been doing the rounds as a prospective participant.

The makers of the reality show are pulling out all the stops to ensure maximum eyeballs. A video shared on Colors’ social media pages hints that Radhe Maa is set to enter the house this Saturday.

In the video, Radhe Maa is seen going around the house. She is even heard saying that may the season become successful.

According to reports, Radhe Maa will most likely arrive on the show to bless the house and the contestants. However, given that it’s an unpredictable show, she might also be seen as a contestant. A confirmation should be forthcoming in a few days as more details get leaked.

Radhe Maa is a spiritual leader and self-styled god woman. While she is finally gracing the reality show this season, her participation has been speculated earlier too. Bigg Boss has previously seen spiritual leaders Swami Om and Sshivani Durga as contestants.

Bigg Boss 14 will once again be an all-celebrity season. While host Salman Khan already revealed Jaan Kumar Sanu as a contestant, Rubina Dilaik, Abhinav Shukla, Jasmin Bhasin, Nikki Tamboli, Rahul Vaidya, Shehzad Deol, Eijaz Khan, Sara Gurpal, Nishant Singh Malkani and Pavitra Punia are also said to be participating in the show.

Radhe Maa has had several controversies linked with her in the past. There was a court case filed against her by a social worker and advocate in Mumbai and then the authorities were also investigating her source of income and the IT authorities were after her for various unaccounted assets including a huge bungalow in Borivli in suburban Mumbai as well as a fleet of imported cars.
