                                         NAVARATRI  FESTIVITY AT VELAMMAL

The Velammal fraternity at Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus set the festive mood celebrating the festival of Navaratri with great zeal and enthusiasm to evoke the blessings of Goddess Durga in her various forms. 

The atrium of the school building is adorned with vividly coloured flowers, lights and rangolis.
Further adding gaiety to this festivity,  is the Bommai Kolu with its marvelous wooden and clay dolls depicting the Gods and Goddesses and the rustic scenes.

This festival dedicated to the worship of the nine forms of Shakti witness the prayers, chant of slokas on all days to evoke spiritual vibes. Daily evening pujas with bhajans in praise of the Goddesses are sung  with devotion by the school faculty followed by enchanting cultural performances by the  Vel's Natyalaya's budding dancers and musicians.

This festivity will be culminated on the tenth day with a special Vijayadasami Puja and a new dawn of knowledge will be welcomed.

At Velammal,  Navaratri celebrations depict an insight to our rich culture and heritage amidst these hard times.
