VELAMMAL’S STRIKING SUCCESS IN CHESS AT THE NATIONAL LEVELMaster Nikhil Magizhan Std VII, of Velammal Main school, Mogappair campus, represented Tamil Nadu chess team in the U-14 boys category and won the gold medal by securing 6 out of 6 points. Miss C. Tina Std VIII , represented Tamil Nadu Chess team in the U-14 girls category and won the bronze medal by securing 5 out of 6 points in the SGFI National Chess tournament organized by SGFI Dadra and Nagar, Haveli, Mumbai held between 11.12.18 & 13.12.18. The management was elated at the success of the winners.
