The valediction ceremony was the capstone of the events and efforts of the past three days. The chief guest for the evening was Dr. Crystal Dilworth, Caltech alumna, host at Voice of America and former TEDxYouth speaker. Also present were the Staff Advisor of Pragyan, NIT Trichy, Dr. Rajeswari Sridhar, Mr. Palaniappan, Head of Marketing, Ms. Rama Surekha, Head of Technical council and Mr. Vasudevan, Treasurer of Pragyan, NIT Trichy.
The ceremony began in an auspicious manner, with a prayer song and the lighting of the lamp. This was followed by the welcome address by the Staff Advisor of Pragyan 2019, Dr. Rajeswari Sridhar. Next, the chief
guest for the evening Dr. Crystal Dilworth took the stage and related about her experience at Pragyan, NIT Trichy. After the inspirational speech by Dr. Dilworth, the stage was handed over to the Director, Dr. Mini Shaji Thomas who talked about how the hard work of the organisers paid off, with Pragyan 19 being a grand success.
Next, to take the stage were Mr. M Palaniappan, Head of Pragyan marketing, who presented the marketing report and Ms. P. Rama Surekha, Head of Technical Council who presented the Technical report,
recognising all the technical achievements of Pragyan, NIT Trichy.
The addresses by dignitaries were followed by the presentation of Pragyan mementos to the chief guest and the Director. After this, the winning project of Ingenium, Overhead Inspection of Electric Cables using Drones, by a team from Kamaraj College of Engineering, along with other winners of Sangam and Ingenium were recognised and appreciated with their awards. The evening and with it, Pragyan, NIT Trichy 2019 concluded with the vote of thanks by the treasurer, Mr. Vasudevan S.
