BMW Group India pledges its commitment towards fighting

 
 
-          Participation in creation of isolation ward at Government General Hospital, Chengalpattu near BMW Group Plant Chennai.
 
-          Critical care equipment and services for medical facilities.
 
-          Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for frontline medical personnel and law enforcement agencies.
 
-          Nutrition for economically marginalised families will be funded as part of the initiative.
 
-          Employees further strengthen the efforts through voluntarily contribution.



 
 
BMW Group India has pledged INR 3 crore in the ongoing battle against COVID-19 pandemic. Associations with government and non-government organisations have been initiated for on-ground implementation in Delhi NCR and Chennai. Employees of BMW Group India, BMW Group Plant Chennai and BMW India Financial Services voluntarily contributed towards the cause.
 
Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India said, “The coronavirus pandemic presents a mammoth challenge to public health, industry, economy and business. Responsible action and sincere efforts are immensely crucial for minimising impact on human life, providing immediate relief to the underprivileged and reinforcing those engaged at the frontline of this crisis. The most important need of the hour is to flatten the curve and ensure social distancing. It is a top priority and responsibility that we are taking very seriously. At the BMW Group, we have a strong culture and value system which has always stood the test of time. The resolve and commitment of our employees and dealer partners across India to fight this unprecedented threat to mankind is strong and undeterred. We will remain resilient and responsive.”

In Chengalpattu, near Plant Chennai, BMW Group India will participate in creation of an isolation ward for patients at the Government General Hospital.
 
Critical care equipment and services will be provided for medical facilities in Delhi NCR and Chennai.
 
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) will be provided for frontline medical personnel and law enforcement agencies in Delhi NCR and Chennai.
 
Nutrition for the economically marginalised families around Plant Chennai and Delhi NCR will be funded as part of the initiative.
 
‘Work from home’ at BMW Group India.
For well-being of employees in midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, work from home has been implemented across BMW Group offices in India. The National Sales Company and BMW India Financial Services are working from home since 23 March 2020 until 3 May 2020. Local production at BMW Group Plant Chennai has accordingly been stopped till 3 May 2020. Essential services such as security, facility management and health centre continue to operate. Business continuity is being ensured across all functions while adhering to all government directives and necessary safety measures. Across the BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad dealerships in India, staff are working from home to offer services to customers. After sales and breakdown services staff are operating as per the local government directives and are functional with limitations. All showrooms are presently closed and will reopen as per government advisory.

BMW India offers BS VI variants across the entire product portfolio.


BMW Group Plant Chennai starts local production of BS VI diesel vehicles ahead of timeline.

First in segment to offer BS VI petrol variants across all models.


Prices to increase by up to 6% across BS VI variants.
  
Gurugram. BMW India is now offering BS VI variants across its entire product range. The complete petrol portfolio is already BS VI compliant while the diesel portfolio will be converted ahead of stipulated timelines. BMW Group Plant Chennai has started local production of BS VI diesel variants of the BMW 5 Series and the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo. The new BS VI avatar of the segment best-seller BMW X1 will also hit the shop-floor of BMW Group Plant Chennai soon.

Mr. Rudratej Singh, President and Chief Executive Officer, BMW Group India said, “2019 has been exciting for us as our new product portfolio has triggered remarkable traction in the luxury car market. Early start of BS VI production is a strategic call we are taking to meet the unprecedented demand for our new products. Today, BMW India customers have the choice of buying a BS VI car across the entire product portfolio. The present BMW range is extremely attractive because of its unique position with latest products, newest technology as well as superbly attractive ownership packages on limited stocks of BS IV variants.”

The latest products launched by BMW India in 2019 are available in both BS IV and BS VI variants. Beginning next year, BMW India will increase prices of BS VI models by up to 6%.  Attractive financial offers are available on limited stocks of BS IV variants.

As a first in the Indian luxury car segment, BMW India has introduced BMW Smart Video, an exclusive app-based smart video and image solution where customers can give real-time approvals for service and repairs. BMW Smart Video solution has already benefitted more than 10,000 customers with high rate of customer satisfaction.


Through BMW Smart Video, the dealership technicians are able to make a video of the vehicle explaining the service / repair requirements and share the quotation online. Customers receive a link where they can understand the service requirements through the video and give an approval online without the hassle of visiting the dealership again.

BMW India appoints Deutsche Motoren as its dealer in Bengaluru.

BMW India continues expansion of its dealer network in established and emerging markets across India.

Deutsche Motoren has represented BMW India for over a decade with 4 customer touch points in Delhi NCR and now one in Bengaluru.

BMW India to increase prices

BMW India to increase prices by up to 4% 
from 1 January 2019

Gurgaon. BMW India will increase prices by up to 4% across the product portfolio with effect from 1 January 2019.

Mr. Vikram Pawah, Chairman, BMW Group India said, “BMW India remains at the forefront of the luxury car market, offering ‘Sheer Driving Pleasure’ through its inspirational products and unmatched levels of customer centricity. From 1 January 2019, BMW India will increase the prices of its cars by up to 4%. BMW India will continue to present an extremely attractive value to its customers through pioneering products, best-in-class bmw service experience and comprehensive financial solutions and offers from BMW India Financial Services.”



The range of locally produced BMW cars in India include the BMW 3 Series, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 5 Series, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW X1, the BMW X3, the BMW X5 and the MINI Countryman.

BMW dealerships also display the BMW X6, the BMW Z4, the BMW M2 Competition, the BMW M3 Sedan, the BMW M4 Coupe, the BMW M5 Sedan, the BMW X5 M, the BMW X6 M and the BMW i8 which are available in the country as completely built-up units (CBU).
