Government of Odisha approves industrial projects of Arcelor

 Government of Odisha approves industrial projects of Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS), Ramco cements and 8 others worth INR 2171.82 Crore at the 103rd SLSWCA meet

      State Level Single Window Clearance Authority of the Government of Odisha, headed by the Chief Secretary, approves ten diversified investment proposals generating employment opportunities for over 5,242 persons in the state.

The 103rd meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held today under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Shri Suresh Chandra Mahapatra (IAS) approved 10 industrial projects worth INR 2171.82 crore that would generate employment opportunities for over 5,242 persons.

The projects approved by the panel were from diverse sectors like Steel, Food Processing, Cement, Chemical Renewable energy and Tourism.

The committee has approved the proposal of My Home Industries Pvt. Limited (MHPL) to set up a 3 MTPA Cement Grinding unit at Badchana, Jajpur with an investment of INR 650 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 750 persons.

An expansion project of L N Metallics Limited’s existing plant got the SLSWCA nod. It will set up 0.112 MTPA MS Billets, 0.112 MTPA TMT/ Structure/ MS Strip, 0.04 MTPA Ferro Alloys, 0.1 MTPA Sponge Iron, 0.6 MTPA Iron ore Beneficiation, 0.4 MTPA Pellet, 0.112 MTPA MS/GI Pipe and 23 MW CPP against an investment of INR 205 crore to be set up at Sripura, Jharsuguda, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 571 persons.

The SLSWCA gave a nod to Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India Limited to set up a Riverine Jetty at Udayabata, Jagatsinghpur against an investment of INR 150 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 280 persons.

Similarly, it has approved the proposal to set up a 360 KLPD Ethanol, 120 KLPD Extra Neutral Alcohol(ENA), 10 MW Cogeneration Plant along with a bottling unit for ENA by Mash Bio fuels Pvt Ltd at an investment of INR 258.05 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 300 persons. This food processing plant will be set up at Panimura, Tarabha in Sonepur district.

The panel has cleared a project of Vibrant Spirits Pvt Ltd to set up 100 KLPD Ethanol along with 5 MW Co generation Plant in Bargarh at an investment of INR 100 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 2,250 persons.

The 103rd SLSWCA gave a nod to VCI Chemical Industries Pvt Ltd to set up a Coal Tar Distillation Plant with a 1,00,000TPA capacity at Kalinganagar in Jajpur at an investment of INR 210 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 157 persons.

The panel has approved a cement plant project by Ramco Cements Limited to expand its existing plant with the addition of a cement grinding capacity of 0.9 MTPA  at Haridaspur in Jajpur at an investment of INR 190 crore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 60 persons.

Among others, the panel has cleared 3 luxury hotels including

      A 5-star Hotel by Luxurio Assets Private Limited against an investment of INR 181.60 crore to be set up at Bhubaneswar, Khurdha, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 224 persons.

      A Hotel cum luxury resort by Lalchand Resort Pvt Ltd against an investment of INR 119.67 crore to be set up in Khurdha, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 350 persons.

      A 4-star hotel by Sailabala Infrastructure Pvt Ltd against an investment of INR 107.50 crore to be set up at Chandaka Industrial Estate, Khurdha, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 300 persons.

To further boost the renewable energy sector, the state government has decided to extend financial incentives for the Electric vehicle(EV) manufacturing industries, buyers, along with various tax waivers for the next five years. Such progressive action plans along with the time-bound implementations will reinforce Odisha’s position as the topmost investment destination in the country.

Government of Odisha approves 9 new industrial projects worth INR 2570.54 Crore at the 100th SLSWCA meet

 

       State Level Single Window Clearance Authority of Government of Odisha, headed by the Chief Secretary, approves nine investment proposals generating employment opportunities to over 2755 persons in the state.

The 100th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held today under the chairmanship of Shri Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, (IAS) Chief Secretary of Odisha, approved 9 industrial projects to the tune of INR 2570.54 crore in Metal and Metal downstream, Manufacturing, Plastic, Cement, Chemical and Food Processing sectors. These industrial projects are further expected to create employment opportunities for 2755 persons in the state.

 

The details of the nine projects for which in-principle approval was accorded by SLSWCA is listed below:

       A 15 MTPA Beneficiation plant in two phases by M/s Amalgam Resources Private Limited against an investment of INR 882 crore to be set up in Joda, Dist- Keonjhar, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 702 persons.

       A 3 MTPA Iron Ore Satellite Grinding Unit and 3 MTPA Slurry Pipeline along with return water pipeline by M/s Ardent Steel Limited against an investment of INR 80.5 crore to be set up in Banspal, Dist- Keonjhar, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 60 persons.

       A Manufacturing unit for razor shaving blades of 45 crore units annual capacity and disposable razors of 3 crore units annual capacity by M/s Safe Lancet Engineering Private Limited against an investment of INR 100 crore to be set up in Khordha, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 90 persons.

       An 8,75,000 MTPA capacity Integrated Carbon Complex in two phases by M/s. Epsilon Carbon Ashoka Pvt. Ltd. against an investment of INR 900 crore to be set up in Rengali, Dist- Sambalpur, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 600 persons.

       A 120 TPD Chloro-Alkali Complex by M/s. Orient Paper and Industries Limited against an investment of INR 162 crore to be set up in Brajrajnagar, Dist- Jharsuguda, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 338 persons.

       Grain-based distillery unit of capacity 200 KLPD for manufacturing of Ethanol and an IMFL bottling unit of capacity 1.50 lakh cases per annum along with 5.00 MW co-generation power plant to be implemented in two phases by M/s Coastal Biotech Private Limited against an investment of INR 200 crore to be set up in Gajapati, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 400 persons.

       An Integrated common hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility by M/s Ramky Enviro Engineers Ltd. against an investment of INR 128.80 crore to be set up in Burujuguda, Dist- Rayagada, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 50 persons.

       Manufacturing unit for production of AAC Blocks & Cement sandwich panels having capacity of 1,50,000 meter3 & 3240 meter3 per annum by M/s HIL Limited against an investment of INR 63.24 crore to be set up in Balasore, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 265 persons.

       Manufacturing unit for production of Mattress & Fibre Pillows having combined capacity of 7,00,000 nos per annum by M/s Centuary Fibre Plates Private Limited against an investment of INR 54 crore to be set up in Khordha, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 250 persons.

 

Odisha has considerably improved the production of steel and other metals and metal downstream materials over the years. These Industries are now supplying oxygen to various states amid an acute shortage of medical oxygen.

MoU Signing for the Integrated Steel Complex by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India at Kendrapara held

 

In a historic development, Government of Odisha and ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Limited signed a MoU for setting up an Integrated Steel Complex in Kendrapara District. This project will entail in investment of more than Rs. 50,000 crore.

 

ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel is one of the largest steel makers of the world and combines the financial might of the LN Mittal Group including their international presence in the sector and the technological prowess and management strength of Nippon Steel, which is a Japanese company renowned in the world for its high-technology steel products.

 

The MoU was signed in the august presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik and Shri L N Mittal, Chairman of the Mittal Group. Shri Prafulla Mallik, Hon’ble Minister Steel & Mines and Works and Shri Atanu Sabyasachi Naik, MLA, Mahakalpara were also present.

 

Hon’ble Chief Minister stated that, Kendrapara was the Karmabhumi of Biju Babu and he loved the place and its people from the core of his heart. He also stated that Kendrapara provides ideal prospects for an Integrated Steel Complex and the state Government will provide all the required support and facilitation for the setting up of this mega project. He also state that Odisha has successfully emerged and the most attractive investment destination in the country today because of its forward looking industrial policy, facilitation mechanism and robust infrastructure growth.

 

Mr. Mittal mentioned that he is very happy to partner with Government of Odisha in setting up this integrated steel complex at Kendrapara, which is in addition to the other investments of AM/NS in Odisha including the 6MTPA pelletization plant in Paradeep which will be expanded to 12 MTPA and the beneficiation complex in Keonjhar and slurry pipeline which are already operational.

 

He further mentioned that he is amazed as the speed of work by the Government of Odisha, which in his opinion is the best he has experienced in his world-wide business experience. He reiterated that AM/NS is committed to partner with Government of Odisha in the industrial growth journey of the state.

 

The MoU was signed by the Shri Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary Industries and Shri Dilip Oommen, Chief Executive Officer, AM/NS India. Chief Secretary, Development Commissioner, Principal Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister Transformation and Initiatives (5T) and other senior officials of the state Government were also present.

worth INR 1214.00 Crore at the 99th SLSWCA meet

       State Level Single Window Clearance Authority of Government of Odisha, headed by the Chief Secretary, approves eight investment proposals generating employment opportunities to over 2427 persons in the state.

The 99th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held today under the chairmanship of Shri Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, (IAS) Chief Secretary of Odisha, approved 8 industrial projects to the tune of INR 1214.00 crore in the Manufacturing, Plastic, Food Processing and Hospitality sectors. These industrial projects are further expected to create employment opportunities for 2427 persons in the state.

The details of the eight projects for which in-principle approval was accorded by SLSWCA is listed below:

       A 2.75 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation plant and 1.2 MTPA Pellet plant by Energise Minerals Private Limited against an investment of INR 256 crore to be set up in Rairangpur, Dist- Mayurbhanj, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 274 persons.

       A 5-star hotel by ITC Limited in Dumduma, Bhubaneswar, Khordha with an investment of INR 141.14 crore, will generate potential employment opportunities for over 120 persons.

       A 5-star hotel by Falcon Real Estate Private Limited in Bhubaneswar, Khordha with an investment of INR 120.26 crore, will generate potential employment opportunities for over 900 persons.

       Expansion of Britannia Industries Limited’s manufacturing unit of Biscuits, Cakes, Rusk and other bakery products with an additional annual capacity of 30,000 MT with an investment of INR 93.60 crore to be set up in Khordha, will generate potential employment opportunities for over 350 persons.

       A 200 KLPD grain-based distillery plant (in two phases) and 6 MW Cogeneration Plant by Indalc Spirits Pvt Ltd against an investment of INR 215.15 crore to be set up in Deogarh, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 249 persons.

       A 200 KLPD grain-based distillery plant along with a Bottling unit of 6 lakh cases and a 6 MW Cogeneration Plant by Mash Spirits Pvt Ltd against an investment of INR 204.60 crore to be set up in Jharsuguda, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 185 persons.

       Expansion of its unit for production of Refractories by Sarvesh Refractories Private Limited against an investment of INR 123.25 crore to be set up at Kuarmunda, Dist- Sundergarh, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 289 persons.

       Manufacturing unit for production of Cast Polypropylene (CPP) Film having a capacity of 7560 MTPA and Metallized Film having a capacity of 6120 MTPA by Purv Packaging Private Limited against an investment of INR 60 crore to be set up at Paradeep Plastic Park, Jagatsinghpur, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 60 persons.

Odisha has considerably improved the ease of doing business, through a string of reforms. These, calibrated with the government’s policy initiatives, have helped the State attract major investments including the recent INR 50,000 crore investment from ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India to set up a mega steel plant in Kendrapara.

 With Major Reforms, IPICOL successfully submits the State Reforms Action Plan - 2020

 

IPICOL has successfully completed submission for the state of Odisha the evidence of reforms implemented under State Reform Action Plan (SRAP) - 2020 as stipulated by DPIIT, Government of India. SRAP is a list of 301 recommendations to be undertaken by states and union territories to improve the business environment for setting up and operating industries in the State. 

 

As part of this exercise, IPICOL coordinated with 18 departments and organisations of the Government of Odisha to ensure successful implementation of the recommended reform action points. The key reform areas included: Investment enablers, labour reform enablers, sectoral reforms, public procurement, commercial dispute resolution enablers etc. These reforms will enhance the ease of doing business by ensuring online and timely services delivered by various departments and organisations of the state government.

 

The IPICOL has integrated additional 9 services covering 5 Departments with the State Single Window System GO SWIFT ensuring comprehensive facilitation support to industries.

 

One of the other key reform points implemented in SRAP has been the elimination of the requirements of renewals of certificates/ approvals/ licenses or establishment of an online auto-renewal system under 8 services.

 

IPICOL had earlier ensured successful implementations of district reform action plan thereby making Odisha eligible for additional borrowing permission of Rs. 1,429 crore from the Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance, Government of India.

 

These investment-friendly reforms will play a critical role in positioning Odisha as an attractive investment destination.

Government of Odisha’s SLSWCA approves

Government of Odisha’s SLSWCA approves investment proposals worth Rs. 2172.92 crore
The Government of Odisha has approved four investment proposals in sectors like Metal & Metal Downstreams worth over Rs. 2172.92 crore which would likely generate employment for 1,122 people in the 93rd State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting today.
The investment proposals got the go-ahead at a State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Shri Asit Kumar Tripathy in Bhubaneswar (Odisha) wherein Shri Hemant Sharma, Principal Secretary, Industries outlined the project proposals for consideration.
The SLSWCA approved four planned projects which included the following:
·         In a big boost to the State’s Metal Downstream sector, M/s Rungta Mines Limited is looking at setting up 34 MTPA beneficiation plant in two phases, with an investment of Rs. 975 crore and providing employment to about 290 people.
·         In addition, another proposal of M/s Rungta Mines Limited will be setting up 20 MTPA underground slurry Pipe Line from its proposed beneficiation Plant at Bonai/Champua sub-division to its 3 different plant locations, with an investment of Rs. 951 crore of capacity providing employment opportunities for 72 people.  
·         M/S Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited for expansion of its Pellet Plant from 0.3 MTPA to 1.2 MTPA capacity at with a total investment of Rs. 76.92 crore and employing around additional 610 people.
·         The proposal of M/s Wellman Steels Gangeya Supply Agency Private Limited for setting up 1.8 MTPA beneficiation Plant and 1.2 MTPA Pellet Plant, with an investment of Rs. 170 crore and will provide an additional employment opportunities for 150 people.

Industries department has kept its momentum going and is gathering investments for Odisha.
