Titan’s jewellery arm Tanishq introduces a flexible purchase plan

Titan’s jewellery arm Tanishq introduces a flexible purchase plan
ahead of big Indian wedding season

The purchase plan is designed to help consumers plan their wedding jewellery purchase with attractive discounts on making charges

In a move to assist consumers in buying jewellery for weddings and related occasions, Titan’s jewellery arm Tanishq has introduced a new purchase plan – Rivaah Aashirwaad. The wedding jewellery purchase plan has been unveiled with the onset of the Big Wedding Season in India. Through this Plan, consumers can plan their wedding jewellery purchase in a structured and systematic manner and yield great discounts on the making charges towards the end of the Plan.

As the name signifies, Aashirwaad is the blessing in gold that is gifted to the bride as a token of love and appreciation by her loved ones as she embarks on her new journey in life. Families plan wedding purchases well in advance and it being one of the biggest expense in the life cycle of the customer, the plan incentivizes the customers by enrolling them in a secured monthly purchase plan which is structured in a way that offers better value for money compared to spot purchase. Rivaah Aashirwaad gives customers the flexibility to plan their purchase in terms of the quantum, duration and benefits which are transparent.

Tanishq introduced Rivaah – its dedicated wedding jewellery sub-brand in 2017, catering to the diverse and varied jewellery needs across communities and regions. Wedding Jewellery across cultures symbolises the richness & heritage inherent to Indian Weddings as they signify start of a new journey for the bride.

Speaking on the occasion, Ajoy Chawla, CEO, Jewellery Division, Titan Company Ltd said, “In Indian culture, buying and adorning gold jewellery holds significant importance, especially for weddings. Being India’s most trusted jewellery brand, we appreciate the auspiciousness of gold associated with wedding rituals. All parents want the best for their daughter and the jewellery they give to her for her special wedding day is symbolic of their blessings and eternal love for her.

Recognising this special emotion, Tanishq has launched 'Rivaah Aashirwaad', a flexible Purchase Plan, for acquiring jewellery in a systematic planned manner coupled with a very attractive discount on making charges, for weddings and other related occasions. With Rivaah Aashirwaad, we aim to offer the best opportunity to brides and their families to build their wedding trousseau with the finest Tanishq designs, assurance of purity and at competitive prices.”

Keeping in line with all COVID-19 safety and precaution norms, Tanishq adheres to strict compliance of advanced Gold standard safety norms across all stores. The brand has also recently introduced an array of phygital features available for the customers to shop from the comfort of their home and providing them with an enjoyable Omni channel shopping experience.

~Introduces ‘Gold Standard’ safety e-book that defines high standards of process and protocols in areas of customer and employee safety, hygiene and social distancing~
Tanishq, India’s leading and most trusted jewellery brand from the house of Tata today announced its plans to reopen its 328 stores across the country in a phased-wised manner. The company will continue to strictly comply with all government rules while reopening and running operations at the store. The company plans to reopen first 50 stores by 10th May, 2020.

Sharing his views on reopening of stores, Mr. Ajoy Chawla, CEO, Jewellery Division at Titan Company Limited, “Jewellery buying is a moment of joy for a customer and we want to be part of that moment in a safe, hygienic, reassuring yet welcoming manner. The Gold Standard on safety and hygiene has been designed to keep customers and employees safe throughout the time they spend at the store. A lot of detailing has gone into processes, checks and training of our employees. We are reopening our stores in a phased manner because each store has to pass an eligibility test prior to commencing operations. This is to ensure each store is 100% prepared to manage the store, staff and customers.”

Highlights -

· Safety checks - Tanishq has come up with host of safety measures at different touchpoints – parking, entrance, jewellery counter, waiting lounge, lifts, washrooms, billing counter, Karigar Room etc.

·   Staff training – Each staff member at the store has undergone 3 training sessions and are certified to serve the customers, maintain social distancing norms and assist them in contactless shopping

· Contactless shopping experience: Tanishq is encouraging digital payment options. In case the customer wants to pay in cash, cash boxes have been arranged. Gloves and masks have been made mandatory. Even credit cards are sanitised.

· Cleaning – Steps have been taken right from the entrance - disinfecting car keys, sanitising footwear, providing hand sanitisers, hand gloves, face masks, continuous sanitising of doors, seating area, washrooms and special surface cleaning process for jewellery using ultrasonic and steam cleaning.

·  Social distancing – Activated online appointment facility, not more than 5 customers will be allowed to enter the store. The store layout has undergone changes to maintain minimum distance at seating area, lounge area, lifts, washroom, Karigar areas and cash counters
