  பெரும்பாலும் ஆங்கில அனிமேஷன் திரைப்படங்களுக்கு ஹாலிவுட்டின் முன்னணி நடிகர், நடிகைகள் பின்னணி குரல் கொடுப்பதுண்டு. அந்த வகையான முயற்சிகள் இந்திய சினிமாவில் நடப்பது அரிதான விஷயம். தற்போது டிஸ்னி இந்தியாவின் அதீத முயற்சிகளால் அவெஞ்சர்ஸ் போன்ற ஆங்கில திரைப்படங்கள், ஒரு சில அனிமேஷன் திரைப்படங்களுக்கு இந்தி, தமிழ், தெலுங்கு ஆகிய மொழிகளின் முன்னணி நடிகர், நடிகைகள் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களுக்கு டப்பிங் பேச முன்வந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

தற்போது டிஸ்னியின் மிக பிரமாண்டமான லைவ் ஆக்‌ஷன் படமான 'The Lion King' படத்துக்கு பின்னணி குரல் கொடுக்க முன்வந்திருக்கிறார் ஷாரூக் கான். அவர் மட்டுமல்லாமல் அவரது மகன் ஆர்யனும் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரத்துக்கு பின்னணி குரல் கொடுக்கிறார்.

பாலிவுட்டின் கிங் ஷாரூக் கான்,  தி கிங் ஆஃப் தி ஜங்கிள் - Lion முஃபாசாவுக்காக குரல் கொடுக்கிறார். முஃபாசாவின் மகனும், முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரமுமான சிம்பாவுக்காக ஷாரூக்கானின் மகன் ஆர்யன் கான் குரல் கொடுக்கிறார்.

காலத்தால் அழியாத ஜங்கிள் புக் படத்தின் இயக்குனர் ஜான் ஃபேவ்ரூ இயக்கத்தில் உருவாகியிருக்கும் லைவ் ஆக்ஷன் படமான 'The Lion King', வரும் ஜூலை 19, 2019-ல் ஆங்கிலம், இந்தி, தமிழ் மற்றும் தெலுங்கு ஆகிய மொழிகளில் மிக பிரமாண்டமாக வெளியாகிறது

The world awaits the majestic arrival of ‘The Lion King’. A tremendous comeback after 24 years on the big screens, which is embellished with top-notch technological elements, where it really moments to distinguish the characters for they look so real than being animated… With the film scheduled for worldwide release on July 19, Arvind Swami, Siddarth, Robo Shankar and Singam Puli who have dubbed for the Tamil version were present for the pre-release event in Chennai.

Mr. Bikram Duggal is the Executive Director and Head for Disney's Studios said, “The Lion King is so special to all of us in Disney Studios. Yes, we are overwhelmed with abundant success of movies ‘Avengers End Game’ and ‘Aladdin’ that was released by us this year, but “The Lion King” is even more special. There are lots of attractive elements in the film and one among them is the technological process, where one might find it more difficult to find if the characters on the screen are real or animated ones. More than technical aspects, why “The Lion King” stands out to be favourite of universal audiences is the emotions it carries, which isn’t confined to the animals, but even the human as well. We are very much proud to have the versatile talents of Tamil cinema render their voices for the characters – Arvind Swami (Scar), Siddarth (Simba), Aishwarya Rajesh (Naala), Ravi Shankar (Mufasa),  Singam Puli (Timon),  Robo Shankar (Pumbaa) along with Rohini and Manobala.”

Director-actor Singam Puli said, “I was identified as ‘Singam Puli’ till yesterday, now exhilarated to see that I’m rechristened as  The Lion King. When I was really doubtful when I was invited to dub for the film,  but the team was very well prepared and this helped me to proceed comfortably. Unlike Tamil movies, dubbing for a Hollywood movie, especially THE LION KING as the production team was so sure about what they need and what has to be delivered.”

Comedy actor Robo Shankar said, “To be honest, I wasn’t aware about anything on The Lion King and walked casually to dub for a Hollywood movie.  However, I was literally struck in amazement after knowing the real brand value of this film. While I was trying to give my own ideas in voice modulations, the production team was like they wanted the exact voice of Robo Shankar and nothing else.”

Actor Arvind Swami said, “Before 25 years, I dubbed for Simbha’s character and was completely imbibed to a new experience.  Now, I am so glad to be dubbing for ‘Scar’ character and it’s really a great interesting character as it sticks to lots of diversified shades.”  When asked why he has been recently involved in the characters with negative shades, he reverted, “It’s been a stereotyped role with hero characters and I felt that the negative character has more to unleash with shades.”

Actor Siddarth said, “The Lion King isn’t a movie meant for kids, for everyone as it owns the elements of ‘Love and Care’. This movie is a best example for the concept of having a simple theme and turning into a special one for universal audiences. For an actor like me, who is bored dubbing looking at my face in all movies; this one is completely a new experience. What “The Lion King” actually delivers as a message is “Life is a circle”…. I was awestricken watching the stage performance of ‘Lion King’ in USA. They have now made it with a bigger version with unbelievable technological bonanzas.”

After having conquered hearts with ‘The Jungle Book’ in 2016, Disney is all set to present its legendary franchise and crown jewel - ‘The Lion King’ – with ground-breaking technology that re-imagines the greatest story ever told. In great news for Kollywood fans, Disney India has roped in reigning heart-throb of the 90’s and actor extraordinaire revered by generations ‘Arvind Swami’ to voice the menacing Scar in the Tamil version!Interestingly the actor had dubbed for the lead Simba in the Tamil version over 20 years ago when the animated version released on television for Indian audiences- a true circle of life for the actor!

"It was a great learning experience dubbing for an animated film over 20 years ago when I dubbed for Simba in The Lion King. When I was approached this time around to dub for a character in the new version of The Lion King I preferred to dub for Scar as I saw the character as the most Interesting and multidimensional. It was an enriching professional experience."says Arvind Swami.

Directed by ‘Iron Man’ and ‘The Jungle Book’ fame director, Jon Favreau, Disney’s The Lion King is one of the most-anticipated films of recent times. ஜான் ஃபேவ்ரூ இயக்கியிருக்கும் 'தி லயன் கிங்' கதை வருங்கால மன்னர் பிறக்கும் ஆப்பிரிக்க சவன்னாவுக்கு பயணிக்கிறது. சிம்பா தனது தந்தை மன்னர் முஃபாசாவை வழிபட்டு, தனது சொந்த அரச விதியை மனதில் கொள்கிறார். ஆனால் ராஜ்யத்தில் உள்ள எல்லோருமே புதிய மன்னரின் வருகையை கொண்டாடுவதில்லை. முஃபாசாவின் சகோதரரரும், சிம்மாசனத்தின் முன்னாள் வாரிசுமான ஸ்கார் வேறு சில திட்டங்களைக் கொண்டுள்ளார். பிரைட் ராக் (Pride rock) போரானது துரோகம், சோகம் மற்றும் ட்ராமாவை கொண்டிருக்கிறது, இதன் விளைவாக சிம்பா நாடுகடத்தப்படுகிறது. புதிதாக வந்த நண்பர்களின் உதவியுடன், சிம்பா வளர்ந்து எவ்வாறு தனது உரிமையை கைப்பற்ற வேண்டும் என்பதை அறிந்து கொள்கிறது.
