Akshara Haasan signs Trend Loud’s First Feature Film

S. Ramamurthy that has exhibited its phenomenal charisma in the world of the small screen for nearly 4 decades. Being a top-drawer in understanding the pulse of the female audience, who are the major occupants of the television box, it is now creating an Original Feature Film, with a female-centric theme starring Akshara Haasan in the lead. The film is written and directed by Raja Ramamurthy, who earlier shot to fame for his web series titled 'America Mappillai' on ZEE5 which was based on the LGBTQ community, the first of its kind in Tamil.

Speaking about this Original Feature Film, Director Raja Ramamurthy says, “The story revolves around a girl from a conservative family who is in that awkward stage between being a curious teenager and a smart woman. She struggles to strike a balance between societal expectations and personal desires. This is a female-centric film in the truest sense not just because of its concept but because the cast and crew are predominantly women, this was a conscious decision to capture the essence of the ‘female gaze’.

The protagonist’s role will be extremely relatable to the millennial audience and I’m elated to have Akshara Haasan play it. Akshara Haasan is all set to surprise the audience with an exhilarating performance in a character that she’s never played before. We are thrilled to unveil the film’s first-look on September 14th, 2020.

குறும் படத்தின் டீசரை ஜூலை 6 அன்று படக்குழுவினர் வெளியிட திட்டமிட்டுள்ளனர்.

பிரபல திரைப்பட நடிகர்களான உதயா மற்றும் அம்மு இக்குறும்படத்தின் முன்னணி கதாபாத்திரங்களை ஏற்று நடித்துள்ளனர்.

இவர்களைத் தவிர, இக்குறும்படத்தில் ஜெயபிரகாஷ், சத்யப்ரியா, மற்றும் காமேஸ்வரன் போன்ற பல திரைப்பட கலைஞர்கள் முக்கிய கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்துள்ளனர்.

நெஞ்சைத் தொடும் இக்கதை ஒரு பெண்ணைப் பற்றியது. சாதி சம்பிரதாயங்களில் அதி தீவிர நம்பிக்கை உடைய ஒரு தந்தைக்கும், சாதியே இல்லா ஒரு சமுதாயத்தை உருவாக்க போராடும் ஒரு காதலனுக்கும் நடுவில் மாட்டிக்கொண்டு அவதிப்படும் ஒரு பெண்ணின் கதைதான் இது.

குறும்படத்தைப் பற்றி மேலும் குறிப்பிட வேண்டிய ஒரு முக்கிய செய்தி என்னவென்றால் இது உலகம் கொரோனாவால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டு அவதிப்படும் பொழுது நடக்கும் கதையாக திகழ்கிறது. அதாவது, இந்த கதை, இன்றைய காலகட்டத்தில் நடக்கும் ஒரு கதை.

மனதை வருட கூடிய இந்த நல்ல கதை, அதன் பார்வையாளர்களின் மனதில் பல முக்கிய கேள்விகளை எழுப்பும் என்பதில் எந்த ஐயமும் இல்லை.

குறும்படத்திற்கு இசையமைப்பாளர் மற்றும் பாடகர் அஜீஷ் இசையமைக்க, கோபிகிருஷ்ணன் ஒளிப்பதிவு செய்துள்ளார். இப்படத்தின் படத்தொகுப்பு பணிகளை உமாபதி திறம்படசெய்திருக்கிறார்.

பெரிய எதிர்பார்ப்புகளை உருவாக்கியிருக்கும் நன்னயம் குறும்படம் விரைவில் வெளியாகும் என்று படக்குழுவினர் அறிவித்துள்ளனர் .

Manobala In Association with Trend Loud Presents A Gripping & Emotional Short film

“Nannayam”

Eminent director, actor and producer Manobala's firm, Picture House, in association with TrendLoud, one of the finest digital services firms in the country, is all set to entertain viewers with an engaging, entertaining and meaningful short film titled Nannayam on VisionTime YouTube Channel.

Well known film actors Udhaya and Ammu play the lead in this short film which will also feature established film actors like Jayaprakash and Sathyapriya in important roles.

The short film is a poignant tale about a girl who is tossed between her hardcore casteist father and her activist boyfriend who aspires a casteless society. Interestingly, the story is set in this day and age when the world has been thrown out of order by the Covid 19 pandemic.

Directed by Manobala, a man known not only for his terrific sense of humour and timing but also for his ability to call a spade a spade, the deeply engaging and entertaining short film raises very valid questions in the minds of the viewers by the time it concludes.

Talking about the short film and his firm's association with director Manobala, TrendLoud CEO Chidambaram said, "Trend Loud is happy to be associated with ace director and actor Manobala who is well known for his family entertainers. Shot by talented cinematographer Gopi Krishnan, the short film has been tightly edited by the watchful and observant G Umapathy. Music for the short film has been scored by Ajeesh, a gifted singer himself.

A teaser of the short film will be released on July 6 (Monday), 2020. Details of when the short film is to release will be announced soon.

Already, expectations about Nannayam have risen as it comes from the stable of two of the most reputed entities in the market -- Picture House and TrendLoud.
