Liberty General Insurance Ltd. (Liberty), one of the leading general insurance companies in India has always believed in being there for its customers at every touchpoint and offering them relevant insurance solutions as per their dynamic needs. In this backdrop, Liberty and Yatra, India’s home-grown online travel agency, have partnered together to offer ‘Liberty Secure Travel’ an insurance policy to the customers who book airline travel through Yatra’s platform. Yatra’s customers can opt for Liberty Secure Travel cover, thus enabling them to avail of a seamless refund on the cancellation of their flights. 

When a customer cancels a flight ticket, a significant portion of the ticket fare amount is deducted as a penalty by the airlines. The refund is usually meagre in comparison to the overall ticket price. This policy will ensure zero cancellation penalty to its customers to reduce their cancellation worries. 

Liberty Secure Travel offers a ‘Cancel for Any Reason’ option to the customers. Further, the customers will be able to cancel their flights up to 24 hours before departure and Liberty will reimburse them for losses of up to INR 5,000.

Highlights of Liberty Secure Travel Policy: 

  • For trip cancellation, the customer will be eligible for a Sum Insured (INR) maximum up to 5,000/. The sum insured for both accidental death, permanent and total disablement will be (INR) 1,00,000/-.
  • Anyone aged between 3 months to 70 years can buy a travel insurance policy. The travel insurance plan starts from Rs.399 onwards per flight including GST.
  • Liberty Secure Travel will be available only for domestic travel
  • ‘Trip Cancellation Extension’ cover can be claimed if you have canceled your flight ticket at least one day (24 hours) before the scheduled departure date
The policy starts from the scheduled departure date and time of flight from the originating airport to the actual arrival date and time at the destination airport as mentioned in the booked flight ticket through which insurance cover has opted for which the Insured has paid the Premium.

CAMS Consolidated Quarterly PAT up

CAMS Consolidated Quarterly PAT up 39.6 % YoY, Recommends Final Dividend of Rs 11.84 per share

 

Consolidated PAT for Q4 stood at Rs 60.13 Cr. as against Rs. 43.07 Cr. in Q4 FY20, up 39.6 %

Consolidated PAT for FY 21 stood at Rs 205.29 Cr as against 171.89 Cr in FY20, up 19.4 %

 
Chennai based Computer Age Management Services Limited (CAMS), India’s largest registrar and transfer agent of mutual funds (a SEBI regulated entity) has announced its financial results for the fourth quarter and for the full year ended 31st March 2021.

 

Q4 FY 21 Highlights

·         CAMS has reported a consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 199.77 Crore in Q4 FY21, an increase of 14.3% YoY from Rs 174.77 Crore in Q4 last year (Rs. 185.95 Crore Q3 FY21).
 
·         PAT increased by 39.6% YoY to Rs 60.13 Crore from Rs 43.07 Crore in Q4 last year (Rs. 56.42 Crore Q3 FY21).
 
·         PAT Margin stood at 29.5% for the quarter as against 24.1% in Q4 FY 20 (29.3% in Q3 FY 21).

·         CAMS has reported a consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 705.50 Crore in FY21, an increase of 0.8% YoY from Rs 699.63 Crore in FY 20
 
·         PAT increased by 19.4% YoY to Rs 205.29 Crores from Rs 171.89 Crore in FY20.

Business Update

 

The Company commenced its journey as a publicly listed company on 1st October 2020 after its listing on BSE. Subsequently the company’s shares got listed on NSE on May 7th, 2021.The Stock has been recently added to the MSCI Global Small Cap Index. The Average AUM of CAMS serviced Funds grew to Rs.22.3 Trillion and the company recorded the largest transaction volumes at 86 Million during the quarter.

 

SIP new registrations which were subdued in the first nine months of the year saw an uptick in the last quarter, recording 25 lakh new registrations. CAMS serves all Top 5 Asset Managers in the country and has a market share of ~70%.

 

Commenting on the results, Mr. Anuj Kumar, Whole Time Director & Chief Executive Officer, CAMS Limited, said “We had a satisfactory quarter both in terms of our financial results and in maintaining our strong focus on operational excellence and financial prudence. We have navigated the tough business environment induced by COVID and have ensured that mutual fund investors and clients are not impacted and continue to get high fidelity service. It was a milestone quarter with both AuM and transactions volumes recording new highs.

 

Digital pursuits remained central to empower investors & intermediaries and we launched Aadhaar OTP based eKYC, edge360 mobile app and investor services using AI and ML technologies as new additions to our offering suite. Our digital platforms continued to make significant contribution to the digital adoption momentum in the industry with myCAMS touching the 4 million user base. AIF and PMS digital on-boarding portal is seeing positive market response and will strengthen our value proposition for this segment.”

 

Commenting on new business products and services, Mr. Anuj Kumar explained “Our new products Recon Dynamix and Loan against Mutual Funds continue to gain traction with new clients getting acquired. Account Aggregator platform, NPS Central Record Keeping Agency and Payment Aggregator services are the new areas we are pursuing to expand our business in the emerging financial infrastructure and platform-based services arena.”

Liberty General Insurance Ltd, one of the leading general insurance companies in India, today launched its latest television commercial highlighting the brand ethos as well as its health and motor insurance products and services. Through this TVC, the company aims to alleviate consumers’ worry related to the servicing and settlement of claims. The TVC ‘Bharose Ka Vaada’ has been created by White Rivers Media and highlights Liberty General Insurance’s assurance of fast claims settlement, digitally integrated seamless processes, and conveys the underlying message of trust and promise that the consumers rightfully deserve.

The TVC explores two parallel stories, of two families whose regular lives are interrupted by sudden mishaps, and how Liberty General’s quick claim settlements and digitally-integrated processes help the families sail through the tide. Through the story of these two families, we get a glimpse of their contrasting but inter-connected lives, and the beautiful way they weave together through the common thread of trust and responsibility.

L&T Construction Converts Healthcare

L&T Construction Converts Healthcare Units
into COVID-19 Care Facilities

The Building & Factories business of L&T Construction has transformed established or under-construction healthcare units into COVID-19 care facilities across India. The construction arm of Larsen & Toubro, with its mission-oriented and fast-track approach, turned around large-scale healthcare infrastructure into COVID-19 care facilities in the cities of New Delhi, Champaran and Madhepura in Bihar, Puducherry, Diamond Harbour in West Bengal and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh.  



The company has the capability to construct 300 bed hospitals in record three to four months. It is capable of quickly turning around existing or under-construction medical infrastructure into COVID-19 related facilities and transform large establishments like marriage halls, schools and hotel rooms quickly into isolation wards.

Commenting on the development, Mr. M V Satish, Whole Time Director and Senior Executive Vice President (Buildings, Minerals & Metals), L&T said, “We have ace engineering and construction capabilities, yielding a fast turnaround of healthcare infrastructure for COVID-19 care. This is another contribution from the stable of Larsen & Toubro to India’s fight against COVID-19 as the company believes in serving the nation through thick and thin. We will continue to accelerate our efforts to aid governments in providing prompt relief to citizens through critical healthcare infrastructure.”

“Apart from L&T group’s ₹150 Crore donation to the PM Cares Fund, looking after the welfare of 160,000+ workmen at our various work sites and contributing in cash and kind to several States for welfare, L&T has also provided medical aid worth about ₹40 crore comprising of PPEs, N95 masks, diagnostic kits and other medical equipment. Our hospitals business unit has been empowering several government agencies to build much needed healthcare infrastructure during this pandemic,” added Mr Satish. 

The company has been delivering transformation of the following healthcare facilities:

JIPMER, Phase-III, Puducherry: 
The modernization of the old hospital and institute buildings has been done by L&T, while expansion of SS block and setting of screening OPD set up at JIPMER, Puducherry has also been achieved. The SSB Annexure block which was designed and constructed by L&T and handed over to JIPMER in 2019, was modified to meet the requirements of the state of Puducherry to treat COVID-19 patients. In the first floor, 50 beds were converted as isolation wards and another 100 beds in the second floor were converted into a special ward. Though the project is still not fully handed over to JIPMER, this fully completed super specialty block was immediately put into use.

Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi: 
Three floors of the L&T-constructed 850-bed super specialty, Safdarjung Hospital, have been converted for the care of COVID-19 patients at the request of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India in March 2020. As the number of positive cases and those needing medical treatment have increased, more portions of the hospital are being converted for COVID-19 care including the IPD block of Zone1. 75 beds on the 1st & 2nd floors have been converted into Isolation wards; in Zone 2, 425 beds on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors been converted into Special and General wards to diagnose and treat COVID-19 patients.

Indira Gandhi Hospital, New Delhi 
At the request of PWD, Delhi, L&T offered 200 beds of the half-completed 700-bed Indira Gandhi Hospital at Sector 9, Dwarka, as a quarantine facility. The entire ground floor and the first floor of the OPD block with 200 beds have been made operational in extremely quick time.

Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Champaran, Bihar
L&T has handed over the ground and first floors of the Government Medical Hospital in Champaran, Bihar to accommodate 150 beds as isolation wards to treat COVID-19 patients. The conversion took just 10 days for the L&T team amidst the nationwide lockdown. It includes an emergency ward with necessary lighting and toilet facilities, a medical gas piping system, a curtain track system, a temporary septic tank, temporary power supply from the Electricity Board and a separate RCC approach road especially for the COVID-19 block.

Govt. Medical College & Hospital, Madhepura, Bihar:
L&T is constructing the Government Medical College with an intake capacity of 100 students per annum and a 500-bed college-affiliated hospital for the Bihar state government. As per the request by the State Government, L&T is modifying a block of the medical college into a COVID-19 testing lab. This state of the art BSL-3 level lab will help the state government to tackle COVID-19 cases more efficiently.

West Bengal Medical College, Diamond Harbour, West Bengal:
In Diamond Harbour, West Bengal, L&T is designing and constructing a Government Medical College for West Bengal State Govt with an intake capacity of 100 students per annum. As per the request of the State Government, L&T is modifying a block of the medical college into a COVID-19 testing lab. This state of the art BSL-3 level lab will help the state government tackle COVID-19 cases more efficiently.

AIIMS Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh:
In AIIMS Gorakhpur, L&T is designing and constructing a Government Medical College with an intake capacity of 150 students per annum and a 750-bed Hospital for the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India. At the request of the State Govt, Uttar Pradesh, L&T is modifying a block of the medical college into a COVID-19 testing lab which will again hasten the COVID-19 testing process.
