VELAMMAL STUDENT WINS THE TAMILNADU STATE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP
Master Pranav V, Class 10 of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mel Ayanbakkam has
emerged as the winner by bagging the first prize in Tamilnadu State
Online (U-18) Open Chess Championship - 2021 defeating his opponents
with a fabulous score of 8.5 out of 9 in (U-18) category, held online
between 2nd and 3rd June, 2021.
This stupendous win qualified Master Pranav into the forthcoming National Chess Championship in (U-18) category representing Tamil Nadu.
This championship was organized by Golden Night Chess Academy on behalf of Madurai District Chess Association and Tamilnadu State Chess Association.
The 9 - round virtual tournament featured 182 participants across the state.
The School Management compliments Master Pranav
for his exemplary achievement and wishes him future laurels.
