 VELAMMMAL STUDENT EXCELS AT  THE STATE LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT

Miss  Vilva Reshma V, Std 7 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus has participated in the Kanchi Chess Academy State Level Children's Chess Tournament and clinched the 3rd position in the (U-12) girls category held in Annie Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Kanchipuram on 5th December,2021.

Miss Vilva acclaimed the 3rd position on the merit list  with a good score of 4 out of 5 rounds.  This State level event was organised by Kanchi Chess Academy, wherein participants across the state participated.

The School Management  lauds her outstanding achievement and wishes her to set records in future.

வேலம்மாள் மாணவர் தமிழ்நாடு மாநில சதுரங்க சாம்பியன்ஷிப் போட்டியில் வென்று சாதனை

2021 ஜூன் 2 முதல் 3 வரை இணைய வழியில் நடைபெற்ற தமிழ்நாடு மாநில இணையவழி திறந்த வெளி சதுரங்கப் போட்டிகளின் 18 வயதிற்குட்பட்டோர் பிரிவில் கலந்து கொண்டு  முதல் பரிசைப் பெற்றதன் மூலம் மேல் அயனம்பாக்கம் வேலம்மாள் வித்யாலயா

பள்ளியின் பத்தாம் வகுப்பு மாணவர்மாஸ்டர் வி.பிரணவ் மாபெரும் வெற்றியாளராக உருவெடுத்துள்ளார்.   இந்த மகத்தான வெற்றியின் மூலம் செல்வன் பிரணவ் வரவிருக்கும் தேசிய செஸ் சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பில் 18 வயதிற்குட்பட்டோர் பிரிவில் தமிழகத்தைப் பிரதிநிதித்துவப்படுத்த உள்ளார்.
இந்த சாம்பியன்ஷிப்பை மதுரை மாவட்ட சதுரங்கச் சங்கம் மற்றும் தமிழ்நாடு மாநில சதுரங்கச் சங்கம் ஆகியவற்றின் சார்பாக கோல்டன் நைட் செஸ் அகாடமி ஏற்பாடு செய்திருந்தது.

 

 9 சுற்றுகளாக நடைபெற்ற இந்த மெய்நிகர் போட்டியில் மாநிலம் முழுவதிலும் இருந்து 182 பங்கேற்பாளர்கள் பங்கேற்றனர். 

பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் மாணவன் பிரணவைப் பாராட்டியதுடன் அவரது முன்மாதிரியான சாதனைக்காகவும், எதிர்காலத்தில் பல்வேறு விருதுகளைப் பெறவும் வாழ்த்துகிறது.

 VELAMMAL STUDENT WINS THE TAMILNADU STATE CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Master Pranav V,  Class 10 of  Velammal Vidyalaya,  Mel Ayanbakkam has emerged as the winner by bagging the first prize in Tamilnadu State Online (U-18) Open Chess Championship - 2021 defeating his opponents with a fabulous score of 8.5 out of 9 in (U-18) category, held online between 2nd and 3rd June, 2021.

This stupendous win qualified Master Pranav into the forthcoming National Chess Championship in (U-18) category representing Tamil Nadu.

This championship was organized by Golden Night Chess Academy on behalf of Madurai District Chess Association and Tamilnadu State Chess Association.

The 9 - round virtual tournament featured 182 participants across the state.

Master Rohit V, Class 7 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus, bagged the 2nd place in the zonal level, winning the Mahaguru Jambu Aasan Memorial Prize for Silambattam  in the  Tamil Nadu Parambariya Veera Vilaiyattu Competition 2021 held at Chennai Farex Ground, recently. 

This event was organised by Chennai District Silambattak Kalagam festival to bring back to people the rich heritage of traditional martial art of Tamil Nadu.

Master G Ashwin, Class 8 of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus brought  laurels to the school  by clinching Gold medal in the Dumbell Boxing Championship 2020-2021 held at FSA Sports Academy, Nungambakkam between 16th April, 2021 and 18th April, 2021

He claimed title  in the 64-67 Kg Sub-junior category by knocking out his opponent from Kancheepuram.

This championship was presented by Dumbell and organised by FSA Sports Academy where around 150 boxers participated.

The School Management appreciates his remarkable achievement.

Miss. Yashica S, class 8 of Velammal Main school, Mogappair campus   bagged the second place in Archery at the district level organised by Field Archery Association of Chennai District - Selection.

Our Archer  Miss. Yashica has been selected for the 4th Tamil State Field Indoor Archery Championship 2020-21 in the Junior Women Compound Bow category to represent Greater Chennai district that is to be held at Yercaud on 27th & 28th March, 2021.

Miss.Trisha B, Class 10  of Velammal Vidyalaya, Mogappair West has made a conspicious victory at the 6th State Youth Rural Games 2020-21 by clinching the Gold for Chess under the age category 17, held at SVS Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Namakkal on 28th February, 2021.

This event was organised by Tamil Nadu Youth Rural Games & Sports Committee, affiliated to Youth Rural Games & Sports Federation of India which promotes youth rural games throughout the state.

 10 ஆம் வகுப்பு மாணவி திருஷா பி. சதுரங்கப் போட்டியில் 17 வயதுக்குட்பட்டோருக்கான   பிரிவில்  கலந்து கொண்டு தங்கத்தை வென்று சாதனை படைத்தார். 

இந்த நிகழ்வை தமிழ்நாடு  கிராமப்புற இளைஞர் விளையாட்டுக் குழு ஏற்பாடு செய்துள்ளது, இது  இந்திய விளையாட்டுக் கூட்டமைப்புடன் இணைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது, இது மாநிலம் முழுவதும் இளைஞர் கிராமப்புற விளையாட்டுகளை ஊக்குவிக்கிறது.

மாணவியின் சாதனையைப் பள்ளி நிர்வாகம் பாராட்டி தனது வாழ்த்துக்களைத் தெரிவிக்கிறது.

VELAMMAL  STUDENT MAKES A MARK  IN NATIONAL CHILDREN SCIENCE CONGRESS

Master Halan Gerald, class 9 student of  Velammal Main school, Mogappair campus  has made a remarkable win at the State Level competition and has been qualified for the 28th NCSC (National Children Science Congress) at the National Level competition under the Senior category in English Medium  held virtually on 20, 21 and 22 January, 2021.

His project on 'Bio Solar Leaf - Global Warming Protector' is one among the 30 projects selected for the National Level competition to represent Tamil Nadu shortly.
