VELAMMAL'S LITTLE CHESS CHAMPION TRIUMPHS
AT THE ASIAN SCHOOLS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2021
Master
Mithun Pranav V of Std II, Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus has
clinched the 7th overall place in the Asian School Under 9 Team Chess
Championship 2021, held in Philippines last weekend.
Master
Mithun of India B Team along with his team mates, scored a grand total
of 26 points in 9 rounds with Mithun scoring 6.5 out of 9 enrouting his
team to clinch Gold in the championship.
The event was organized by the National Chess Federation of the Philippines under the auspices of the Asian Chess Federation and FIDE. More than 900 players from 25 countries participated in this mega event either as an individual or a team.
The School Management applauds his stellar performance and wishes him success in the years to come.
