Miss Harshini S, Std XII of Velammal School, Mugappair West Campus represented India in the U-18 category in Asian Youth Chess Championship held at Sri Lanka recently.
She bagged the second place and a Silver Medal by challenging 23 participants from various countries. She defeated the leading opponent of the tournament with a score of 6.5 out of 9 points in the 7th round.The school Management congratulated and appreciated the young achiever on her remarkable feat.
