 Rajan Dental Institute Pvt Ltd donates 100 bottles of Povidone-Iodine mouth wash for COVID patients in Government Hospital (Omadurar)

 

For Covid relief, Rajan Dental Institute Pvt Ltd had donated one hundred bottles of Povidone-Iodine mouth wash for covid patients in the Covid ward, Government Hospital (Omadurar).

The mouth wash bottles were handed over to Prof. Dr. Jayanthi, Dean, Government Medical College, (Omadurar), Chennai by Dr. R. Gunaseelan, Director, Chennai Dental Research Foundation & Rajan Dental Institute.



 This follows a large clinical study done by Chennai Dental Research Foundation on Covid patients in Voluntary Health Services hospital which showed the benefit of using Povidone-Iodine mouth wash in covid patients.

This study was accepted and published in The International Journal called Oral Diseases recently. This is the first such study reported from India. There is also a possibility of reducing Mucormycosis in Covid patients if Povidone-Iodine is used regularly. Povidone-Iodine is active against most of the Bacteria, Viruses and Fungi in the mouth and nose. Povidone also can reduce viral loads in Covid patients thereby reducing community transmission.

 SBI launches ‘Kavach Personal Loan’ scheme for COVID patients

·         Personal loans @ 8.5% per annum upto Rs. 5 lacs will be provided to Bank customers for a period of 5 years

·         Purpose of SBI Kavach Personal Loan is to enable our customers for meeting medical expenses of self and family members for COVID treatment

·         Loan will also cover reimbursement of COVID related medical expenses already incurred

 

In its endeavor to provide much-needed relief to its customers who are facing financial stress on account of COVID treatment-related expenses, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched a collateral-free unique loan offering – ‘Kavach Personal Loan’. The loan covers expenses of COVID treatment of self and family members of the customer. This product was launched by Shri Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI. Under this scheme, customers can avail loans up to Rs 5 lacs at an effective interest rate of 8.5% per annum for 60 months which is inclusive of three months moratorium. This unique product is being offered under the collateral-free personal loan category and comes at the cheapest rate of interest under this segment. Reimbursement of expenses already incurred for COVID related medical expenses shall also be provided under the scheme.

 
Shri Dinesh Khara, Chairman, SBI said, “We are happy to introduce SBI Kavach Personal Loan scheme to help people affected in the wake of COVID-19 crisis. We believe this new scheme will offer much-needed financial assistance to the people to manage the COVID treatment-related expenses without any hassle. With this strategic loan scheme, our aim is to provide access to monetary assistance – especially in this difficult situation for all those who unfortunately got affected by COVID. It's our constant endeavor at SBI to work towards creating financial solutions for customers suiting their requirements”

In these trying times, SBI is committed towards taking care of customers’ financial emergency for covid treatment and other personal expenses in order to effectively overcome the Covid battle. This loan product will also be part of the COVID loan book being created by banks as per RBI's COVID relief measures.

 Sembcorp provides oxygen concentrators to help fight COVID-19

 Partners with KVN Foundation to provide 400+ concentrators for homebound patients

 With the number of cases of COVID on the rise, Sembcorp is committed to assist in this humanitarian crisis. Sembcorp has donated more than 400 critical medical oxygen concentrators to KVN Foundation, a non-profit organisation, to help meet the oxygen requirement for homebound COVID patients.

 These concentrators will take us a step closer to bridging the gap of essential medical oxygen. These oxygen concentrators will be made available free of cost to patients directly in their homes, by Bangalore based NGO KVN Foundation, thereby helping reduce the burden on our healthcare system.

This donation is part of ongoing efforts by Sembcorp in India to support the communities we serve, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since last year, Sembcorp has provided essential medical equipment, including tele-intensive care unit, ICU ventilators, haematology analysers, RT PCR system, antigen kits, ELISA (Enzymes Linked Immune Sorbent Assay) testing machines, face masks, sanitisers and food items. As preventive measures to create awareness, it also organised local community campaigns to emphasise social distancing, wearing masks and maintaining good hygiene practices.
