Definitely, ‘Editors’ become the first audience or critic of movies as they happen to get a clear picture of what’s a film as raw footage and edited version. Being a rapid runner on the front with lots of projects, Editor Ruben feels something special about Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam.  

“More than claiming this to be a mass movie, Viswasam is a beautiful family entertainer for this festive season. It has all elements to serve as sumptuous feast for this season that everyone will enjoy,” says Editor Ruben, who feels working in Viswasam was a challenging process.  Briefing this context, he adds, “Yes, the story goes through lots of raciness, action and emotional phases, which accordingly demanded certain transitions. Especially, to bring up the final version trailer was much more challenging as the intention was that the expectations among crowds shouldn’t be neither high nor low, but balanced. I had to work on lots of versions that followed by the suggestions of director Siva and producers. We are now happy as a team that we have delivered it accordingly to taste of audiences.” 

So what’s favourite part of Viswasam liked by Ruben? Ask him and he instantly says, “The action sequences are fantastically done, especially the rain fight followed by another one in second half, where Ajith sir would bash the opponents with fists and in between would utter some massy lines… It’s not just going to be mass and action elements, but I feel and believe, overall Viswasam will be a delighting and good experience for family audiences.” 

Scheduled for worldwide release on January 10, Viswasam is directed by Siva and is produced by Sathya Jyothi Films.

Kanaa (Dream) is an inevitable essence in everyone’s life and it looks like the entire cast and crew of this film are filled with relishing emotions. While calculations over running length, perfect cuts and transitions dominate an editor’s mind, Ruben has experienced something different while working on Sivakarthikeyan Productions’ Kanaa. 

“There are certain films that let ‘Editors’ forget about their identity urging them for non-stop viewing for its exceptional values. Personally, I have come across very few films of such impact. Significantly, Kanaa is a film, where I couldn’t think about any cuts and transitions’. Such was the emotional connect that I experienced while editing the film. Moreover, what was more touching is that I could reflect and experience the aura of my own father through Sathyaraj sir.  Naturally, fathers are always the ‘Soul’ of their children’s path to success. I strongly believe Kanaa will invariably offer a similar feel to everyone,” says Editor Ruben, who feels that there’s something special about the film’s running length. 

He says, “Yes, usually a film’s length could be defined with the screen time, but I have an instinctual belief that ‘Kanaa’ will not end by the final credits, but will be carried back home with emotions and inspirations. As far as concerned with our team, I firmly affirm Kanaa will be a very special movie to all of us, which we can exhibit to our next generation kids.” 

Produced by Sivakarthikeyan Productions, Arunraja Kamaraj makes his directorial debut with Kanaa, which is scheduled for worldwide release on December 21. Being a complete ‘Cricket’ film, the star-cast comprises of star cricket players from both India and Australia. Sathyaraj, Aishwarya Rajesh, Sivakarthikeyan, Darshan, Ilavarasu, Munishkanth @ Ramadoss and few others are part of this star-cast. 

The songs delivered by music director Dhibu Ninan Thomas along with lyricists Mohan Raja-GKB-Rabbit Mac-Arunraja Kamaraj have turned to be Chartbusters. Dinesh Krishnan’s cinematography and Lalgudi Ilayaraja’s art works have already been highly noticed through visual promos.

Canadian Model Elyssa gets onboard as Female Lead for Yogi Babu

CANANDIAN MODEL ELYSSA GETS ONBOARD AS FEMALE LEAD FOR YOGI BABU’S COMEDY THRILLER “GURKHA”

Yogi Babu’s Gurkha has been getting the finest inclusions now, which in other words can be termed as ‘Voguish’. Yes, with buzzes going strong across the airs for past few days about a foreign actress playing the female lead in this Sam Anton’s directorial, the official word is out now. Canadian model Elyssa will be essaying the role, where she will be seen as the American Ambassador. Filmmaker Sam Anton shares the news saying that they had to go through several International faces for this role and finally found Elyssa as the perfect one. “She just nailed it down with an effortless performance during the auditions by merely grasping the role and situation,” Sam Anton, who clarifies that she isn’t playing the love interest of Yogi Babu. 

With the shooting all set to go on floors from December, the entire team is vigorously rehearsing so as to wrap up the project in single stretch. It is noteworthy that a Dog will be seen in a prominent role in this film, which will accompany the protagonist in Hostage-based kidnap drama. 

4 Monkeys Studios is producing this film, which will have few more prominent actors and technicians involved. As of now, Krishnan Vasanth (Cinematography) and Ruben (Editing) are the only technicians to be onboard for Gurkah. 

On his part, Sam Anton is close on the heels of completing the post-production work of Atharvaa Murali’s 100. 

The film is produced by 4 Monkeys Studio with Krishnan Vasanth handling cinematography and Ruben is editing. The official word about others in the technical team and star-cast will be made shortly.
