Producer S Sashikanth of YNOT Studios unveils YNOTX

Producer S Sashikanth of YNOT Studios unveils “YNOTX Marketing & Distribution”, marking the formation of a mega partnership between Reliance Entertainment, Trident Arts and AP International

YNOT Studios, Reliance Entertainment, Trident Arts and AP International are coming together to form “YNOTX Marketing & Distribution”, which will be an extensive worldwide film marketing and distribution network service for regional movies. It will mark the beginning of an exciting partnership between some of the most creative and commercially successful, dynamic and influential names in the business.

S. Sashikanth, YNOT Studios said - “YNOTX endeavors to create a unified platform for distribution and sale of content-driven regional movies, which will eventually help create a more sustainable model for such films to thrive in what will be a volatile future for the movie industry. We are building an in-house team to seamlessly integrate Advertising, Marketing & Distribution of films and create unified ecosystem for the producers to connect with various partners in theatrical and digital distribution of their content, which will help them to maximize their revenue potential.

Shibasish Sarkar, Group CEO Reliance Entertainment added- “Many regional production houses are struggling to find the right platforms to deliver their content to their target audience, because there are few options, and too many eyeing for the same niche space. Further compounding the problem is that there is no clear platform for such producers to engage with the last mile players at an incubation stage, which leaves the production houses very vulnerable at the time of release. YNOTX is a great platform to battle this issue and ensure a more healthy model is practiced in the marketing and distribution scenario of regional films.“

R. Ravindran, Trident Arts added - “From the highly fragmented and disconnected nature of the current movie business ecosystem, it is very easy to ascertain that there is an imbalance in the supply & demand chain and this presents an opportunity to come up with a solution in the form of a combined effort of individuals who are well experienced and very capable in their own domain.”

Sanjay A. Wadhwa, AP International remarked - “The various distribution platforms are also struggling to have a qualitative process of engaging with these creators to find the right content that matches with their requirement, because of the sheer number of players that are involved, and also the qualitative variables that are involved in each project. This lack of clarity and disconnect with the process of content creation at an inception stage, leaves them with no choice at the time of procurement and are forced to take a punt rather than a more informed choice, in terms of the quality of the end product. YNOTX will enable better consumption of a lot of unconventional regional films high on quality and content, and their makers. “

Mr.Kishore Tallur, who has had 12 years of extensive experience in the Film Distribution business will be heading Distribution at YNOTX.

At the end an entertained audience is all that matters

"At the end an entertained audience is all that matters" – Rohit Shetty
Rohit Shetty’s gearing up for his upcoming film starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, Simmba is slated to release tomorrow. While the trailer and the songs received brilliant response, the director has been busy promoting the film and has been immensely working hard to keep the viewers entertained.

The director recently spoke about his movies and the category of audiences that his movies carter to and lets his audience take the pride and said, “There is segregation when you talk about the kind of audience who come to watch my films. That’s what makes me successful. When I start writing a script and shooting it, all I keep in my mind is my audience. The people who come to watch my films are the family audience. If I were trying to prove a point, I would not have been here.”

Rohit firmly believes that the movies are often related to a common man’s lifestyle. Relating to the same, he adds, “There are people who will dislike what I do, but I know that there is an audience that loves my cinema. So, you have to come to terms with the fact that a certain section of the audience might not love your films. One can only hope that they like your films at some point. I deal with the problems of the middle class and that’s why my films are termed massy. I can’t solve their problems, but at least, I can entertain them. What I find hypocritical is, when someone curses in English, it is considered cool and not massy. However, when the same curses are in Hindi, the ‘massy’ tag is promptly added. I don’t fear my film being a flop, but I do fear losing the audience that loves my cinema.”

Simmba marks the debut collaboration of Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar and undoubtedly the fresh leading pair of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan.

Reliance Entertainment presents, Rohit Shetty Picturez and Dharma Productions, Simmba is slated to release worldwide on 28th December, 2018.

‘Commando 3’ To Go On Floors In September

‘Commando 3’ To Go On Floors In September
We had reported that Aditya Datt, known for directing ‘Table No. 21’ and web series ‘Karenjit Kaur: The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone’, is also helming the third film in the ‘Commando’ series starring Vidyut Jammwal and we have some fresh update about it.

A little birdie whispered in our ears that the action thriller, which will be bigger and better than the prequels, is slated to go on floors in September end in London. Apart from Vidyut, ‘Commando 3’ will also star Adah Sharma, Angira Dhar and Gulshan Devaiah. We have also learned that the film will hit screens in the second half of 2019.

The first Commando, which came out in 2013, introduced Vidyut Jammwal and was an immense hit, courtesy its spectacular action sequences. However, the sequel ‘Commando 2’ scraped through at the box-office despite a bigger cast and canvas but this time, hopes are high as Aditya is taking up the reins of the third film.
‘Commando 3’ is being presented by Reliance Entertainment and produced by Vipul Shah.
