VELAMMMAL'S CHESS CHAMPION EXCELS AT BUDAPEST
OPEN CHESS TOURNAMENT
Master Mrithunjay, Std 8 of Velmmal Vidyalaya, Alapakkam participated in
the Budapest Open Chess Tournament 2021 and won a remarkable 34th
position on the leader board. He also clinched the Best Player Award
with a cash prize of Rs.10,000.
This international tournament which was held recently is a platform for aspiring chess players giving an opportunity to win FIDE Title Norms.
The School Management heralds Master Mrithunjay's exemplary achievement and wishes him to set records in his chess career.
