VELAMMAL GIVES A ROUSING WELCOME TO THE
SILVER MEDALIST MARIYAPPAN THANGAVELU
Velammal Nexus Schools welcomed the champion, Mariyappan Thangavelu, the
Silver Medalist in Men's High Jump (T24) for India at the Tokyo
Paralympics 2020 recently.
India's High Jump Champion was given a warm reception by Shri M.V.M.
Velmohan, Correspondent, Velammal Educational Trust, on his return at
the Chennai Airport.
Congratulating the Champion, Shri M V M Velmohan presented him with a
bouquet, shawl and garland for his consistency and excellence. Students
of Velammal enthusiastically welcomed the Arjuna Awardee raising
slogans, holding banners and placards.
Velammal felicitated Mariyappan Thangavelu as he has made the Nation proud at the World's biggest sporting stage.
