AVM Heritage Museum brings in

*AVM Heritage Museum brings in Ulaganayagan’s Iconic Bullet as its latest addition on his Birthday!*

Ever since its inauguration, the ‘AVM Heritage Museum’ has been the talk of the town for its exquisite vintage collections, which is a celebration of legacy, cinema history and carefully preserved archives from films such as Anbe Vaa, Paayum Puli, Sakalakala Vallavan, Yejaman, Sivaji: The Boss, Ayan, Tirupathi and many more, along with an impressive collection of rare automobiles. Today, as a treat to all the ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Hassan fans, who will be celebrating his birthday tomorrow, the museum will be displaying the iconic Royal Enfield Bullet, 1980 model the actor popularised in his film ‘Sakalakala Vallavan’.

AVM Productions’ Sakalakala Vallavan that released on 14 August 1982, widened actor Kamal Haasan's audience base from the "classes" to a hero of the "masses" and was also praised for his fights and dance. Directed by S. P. Muthuraman and written by Panchu Arunachalam, the film also starred Ambika and Tulasi in pivotal roles. The music of the movie which is memorable for its diverse range of songs was composed by Ilaiyaraaja. The film was a major commercial success and ran for over 175 days in theatres and was the highest-grossing film in Tamil cinema. The film was remade in Hindi as Abhimanyu in 1989.

AVM Productions made the film to prove that ‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan was a "Master of all arts", keeping with the title ‘Sakalakala Vallavan’, which translates to the same.

The Royal Enfield Bullet that featured in the disco song "Ilamai Idho Idho", remains one of the most popular New Year-themed songs in Tamil cinema, and is played on radio and television channels every New Year. It was this film that brought into vogue the usage of the bullet. Do not miss this wonderful opportunity to catch a glimpse of the iconic bullet.

The museum is open tomorrow for Ulaganayagan's birthday.
