Tamil cinema has produced a wide range of remarkable films that capture the authentic and emotional essence of everyday life for ordinary men and women. Dhonima, produced by Sai Venkateswaran and written and directed by Jagadeesan Subu, explores the realistic experiences of middle-class families.  Actress Roshni Prakash, who is currently acting in director Bala's Vanangaan', portrays the female lead role named  'Dhanam', a diligent woman who supports her family as the main provider. Her husband, 'Koti', portrayed by Kaali Venkat, is carefree and lacks responsibility towards his family. As their son encounters a severe health problem, the family is confronted with difficult obstacles, and their journey to overcome these challenges is the central focus of the narrative. It offers a glimpse into the daily lives of middle-class families, allowing the audience to connect with the story.  

While Kaali Venkat and Roshni Prakash are portraying the main characters, the rest of the ensemble cast comprises of Vishav Raj, Vivek Prasanna, Kannan Ponnaiah, Rajesh Sharma, PL Thenappan, Kalki Rajan, RajaMani from "Aadukalam", Vichithiran from "Subramaniyapuram", Sasi from "Sigai", Mogli K Mohan, Ponneri Sujatha, Maya Munieshwaran, and Karthik Munees. 

Jagadeesan Subu has written and directed ‘Dhonima’, which is produced by Sai Venkateswaran for learn and teach productions.  The cinematography has been handled by Packiaraj and Sajith Kumar, while the music has been composed by EJ Johnson. The film is due for release and the entire release rights has been bagged by SP Raja Sethupathi of SPR Studios
