Cancer Awareness Programme & Screening
On the occasion of the 71st Republic day, ‘Freedom from
Cancer Relief and Research Foundation’ founded by Prof Dr Anita Ramesh (
Chandra) , Senior Consultant Oncologist had organised a Cancer Awareness
programme and Free Screening Camp in association with Saveetha Medical
College on 26th January 2020 between
10.00 am 1.00 pm at Oxford Matriculation Higher Secondary School situated in
West Mambalam (near Aranganathan subway).

Vinoj P. Selvam, President, BJYM Tamil nadu who was the Chief Guest
flagged the proceedings & spoke on the occasion stressing on the need for
such Medical Camps to help people identify & resort to remedial action.
Dr. Anita Ramesh mentioned in her speech that the Foundation is sparing
no efforts to help people to identify, diagnose & offer treatment for those
affected. ‘We solicit more people to come in & get benefited, ‘ she added
The programme included preliminary screening of Breast Cancer, Cervical
Cancer Lung Cancer and Oral Cancer for all the people in & around the
neighborhood.
