*Team Oh Butterfly meet the Press ahead of its release on March 6th*

The press meet of the upcoming psychological romantic thriller Oh Butterfly was held in Chennai in the presence of the cast and crew.

Oh Butterfly marks the maiden production venture of Anthill Cinema, produced in association with Palampur Talkies, with Tulsea serving as the consulting producer. The film brings together a strong and talented team. Written and directed by debutant Vijay Ranganathan, the film stars Nivedhithaa Sathish, Ciby Chandran, Attul, Nassar, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli, and Geetha Kailasam in pivotal roles.

Blending the fragility and unpredictability of relationships within a thriller format, Oh Butterfly is all set for a theatrical release on March 6.

*Cinematographer Vedharaman Sankaran* shared that the team worked tirelessly to make the film look effortless on screen. He invited audiences to watch the film in theatres and extend their support on March 6.

*Music Composer Vaisagh Somanath* mentioned that the collaboration worked smoothly because both he and the director were clear about their creative expectations. He described working on the film as a rewarding experience and urged audiences to support it upon release.

*Producer Anand S Shah* revealed that when Vijay first narrated the story, he had never encountered anything like it before. He appreciated the director’s intent to make a quality film rather than a grand commercial venture. He also shared how Vijay chose to invest resources directly into the film’s production instead of unnecessary expenses, reflecting his commitment to content.

*Producer Venkky* expressed his happiness at speaking at a film event for the first time. He recalled hearing the story four years ago and eventually becoming a producer on the project. He highlighted Vijay’s meticulous approach — from searching for 35 houses before finalizing a shooting location to overcoming challenges in securing permissions. He praised the director’s dedication and wished for the film’s grand success.

*Actor Attul* thanked director Vijay for believing in him and giving him the opportunity. He said he felt a strong sense of responsibility after reading the script and thoroughly enjoyed the shooting experience. He praised Nivedhithaa’s performance and said it was an honour to share screen space with Nassar. He also acknowledged the technical team as the film’s biggest strength.

*Actor Ciby Chandran* spoke about the struggles he faced while seeking opportunities and said being part of this project was meaningful. He reflected on how relationships inherently contain elements of suspense and emotional tension. According to him, the film explores the thriller aspect within relationships, touching upon honesty, fear, mental health, and modern-day relationship challenges. He expressed confidence that the film’s theme is relevant to contemporary audiences.

*Actress Nivedhithaa Sathish* described the moment as emotional. After dedicating nearly a year to Captain Miller, she went through a phase of self-doubt about her career. It was during this time that Oh Butterfly came to her, and she found the narration compelling. Despite undergoing surgery when the film commenced, the team waited for her, for which she expressed deep gratitude. She emphasized that the film explores human emotions in a new genre space and is shot in sync sound, adding to its authenticity. She thanked the director and producers for their faith in her.

*Director and Producer Vijay Ranganathan* shared that he has been part of the film industry for nearly eight years and always aspired to create something unique. Though he wrote the story long ago, he reworked it extensively before production. He revealed the challenges faced in pitching the film, as it did not fit into existing cinematic patterns. Friends who believed in the story came forward as producers. He also explained that from the beginning, the team decided to shoot in sync sound and wanted a Tamil-speaking actress for authenticity, which led to Nivedhithaa’s casting. He expressed gratitude to the entire cast and crew and sought audience support for this unique attempt.
