*Thaai Kizhavi Success Meet*
Passion Studios - Sivakarthikeyan Productions present “Thaai Kizhavi” starring Radikaa SarathKumar in the lead role was released on February 27, 2026. The film took a storming opening in the box office with the positive word of mouth reviews, and has grossed more than 50Cr+ The film is still witnessing house-packed shows all over the places. Marking the special occasion, the cast and crewmembers of the film took part in the success meet and thanked the press and media for the great support.
The film features an ensemble star-cast including Radikaa Sarathkumar, Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Bala Saravanan, Munishkanth, Ilavarasu, George Maryan, Muthukumar, Raichal Rabecca and any others. The film is produced by Sudhan Sundaram and Sivakarthikeyan of Passion Studios and Sivakarthikeyan Production. The film is written and directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, and is co-produced by Kalai Arasu.

The event commenced with the screening of AV featuring positive response from the bottom of people’s hearts after watching the film. Following this, the entire cast and crew gathered to thank the press and media fraternity for the grand success.
During this special occasion, Producer Sivakarthikeyan officially announced and launched ‘SK Productions 10’, directed by debutant Amma Muthu Surya. This will be an out-and-out youthful film. Sivakarthikeyan stated that the final script works are going on, and casting will be confirmed and announced soon..
Kalai Arasu, Co-Producer, SK Productions says, “Before the release, we had actually planned for 250 screens. After the positive reviews and word of mouth publicity with first day first show, the weekend numbers got increased to 340, and is now currently running in 450 screens all over Tamil Nadu. This has been the organic success. Book My Show has marked a milestone of 825K sales, and AGS Entertainment has forecast that numbers will 1Million soon. The film has grossed 50Cr+ and 27Lac are the footfall in the theaters. When I started crafting this film as a script, there were many challenges, but SK sir made it possible smoothly. Usually, there would be a clash between the production and direction unit. Actress Radikaa Sarathkumar said at the Thaai Kizhavi success meet, “Kamal Haasan once told me, ‘Radhika, this film should succeed. If the film is good, you will be appreciated, but if the film becomes a success, everyone involved in it, including director Sivakumar Murugesan, will be noticed.’ I have been in this industry for more than 40 years, and in many phases actresses often feel insecure about their future. I still remember that during my 25th birthday celebration at a shooting spot, someone asked me about my future and I felt quite agitated, because I never believed that insecurity should be the mindset of actresses. I have always believed that we should simply keep moving forward and give our best in whatever we do. I strongly feel that Sivakumar Murugesan will create a new wave in cinema just like Bharathiraja sir once did. This film has elevated everyone who worked on it. Right now, the entire industry is talking about the success of Thaai Kizhavi. Producers are even calling theatre owners to check the collections because they are curious about how the film is performing. That itself shows what a big moment this is for all of us in the team. Sivakarthikeyan understands every aspect of filmmaking and he is always updated. He even spoke to me about the slow-motion walk scene in the film. At that time I wondered why he was pointing it out, but after seeing the audience response in theatres, I realized how clearly he understands the pulse of the viewers. This film has also succeeded commercially, collecting around the 50–60 crore mark even with normal ticket prices, unlike many big-star films that release with higher ticket rates. More importantly, Thaai Kizhavi has touched the core of human emotions. It speaks about people realizing their mistakes and correcting themselves, and in many ways the film conveys a message about men listening to the voice and soul of women, especially in a world where the younger generation is watching and learning. “Hats off to producers Sivakarthikeyan and Sudhan from Passion Studios. For the first time in the Tamil film industry, a heroine has been given a share in the profits apart from the salary. This is truly historic and it will become a game changer for the industry. Until now, only heroes have been given such opportunities, but Thaai Kizhavi has opened a new path. I believe heroines across the industry will be very happy about this change.”
Producer Sivakarthikeyan said, “When Sivakumar narrated the script, I had a big doubt on what could be the Thaai Kizhavi doing often in Madurai. I started assuming lots of things, and I got Goosebumps, when he told, “She does nothing but just eat her favourite snack and walk back enjoying her journey.’ Sivakumar asked me ‘First to keep others happy, we need to make ourselves happy. This left me totally awestricken. And that’s where I was totally drawn into the film. Kalai spoke about the film’s box office collections, but for me this is an emotional gift. During the audio launch, I told that we are already profited from the movie. Radhika ma’am has brought forth her long years of pain, passion and experience in her career for this film. The success of Thaai Kizhavi belongs to each and everyone in the team. I wanted to do this film for a couple of reasons. Both my mother and my elder sister signify my 'Pavanu Thaai'. Even today, my accounts and balance are totally handled by my wife Aarthi. This film is a tribute to all women in every home. I have learnt a lot while creating this movie. I thank Sivakumar Murugesan for this, and I will follow the same for my upcoming projects. I don’t know if by doing so, movies will be successful, but it will definitely save producers’ money.”
